  16. Apparently the subtitle used to be, "Educators Resource Guide to
  17. Online Computer Services."  It certainly deals with online services.
  18. *All* of them.  The Internet, private bulletin boards, commercial
  19. online services, commercial database services, Fidonet, educational
  20. networks and a number of others.

  22. The educational title is being de-emphasized but this is still, quite
  23. obviously, a book for teachers.  Two chapters are devoted to classroom
  24. projects, two more to a "Kid's Participation Network," and "Kid
  25. People."  Much of the material will be of interest to others, but the
  26. style and the eclectic nature are definitely for educators.

  28. Not all resources are listed here, of course.  There is, however, an
  29. extraordinary wealth of material.  Some of it is available online,
  30. such as the Inter-network Mail Guide, but this is handy if you are
  31. only starting online access.

  33. Guidance could use some work.  There does not seem to be a lot of
  34. order to the chapters.  Also, material is sometimes duplicated from
  35. chapter to chapter.  (K12net gets two fairly extensive citations and a
  36. chapter by itself, to boot.)

  38. If you are a teacher or an educational researcher, this book is very
  39. definitely for you.  If you have extensive dealings with online
  40. resources, you may also find a lot of useful material here.
