/* README.DOC for the FORMULC v2.1 package */
/* Copyright (c) 1994 by Harald Helfgott */
In this notice, "the program" and "FORMULC" mean the following files:
README.DOC
FORMULC.C
FORMULC.H
FORMULC.DOC
TEST.C
TIME.DOC
They are a unit and must not be distributed individually.
FORMULC is provided "AS IS", without any implicit or explicit
warranty. Moreover, I don't assure you that it is useful for any
specific purpose.
FORMULC 2.1 is available by anonymous FTP from SimTel
(oak.oakland.edu, pub/msdos/math/parser21.zip) . It is also at
MERIT (msdos.archive.umich.edu) and will soon be at the U of
Washington's archives and at Garbo. You can use it in any of your
programs, provided that you acknowledge my being the author of FORMULC
and your using it. If you modify it, you must mention that in the
documentation of your version before giving it to any other person.
Moreover, you must ask me before using FORMULC, parts of it or a
modified version of it in any commercial program. I would like to receive
the source code of improved versions as well as bug reports and suggestions.
Questions about the program are also welcome, but don't expect to always
receive a prompt answer.
If you like the program and decide to use it, I encourage you
to send me a registration fee. Anything between $3 and $6 would be
appropriate (larger contributions are welcome :-) ). If you send me
your E-MAIL address, I will send you an electronic thank-you note
and will tell you about all my new programs. You cannot sell my
program; if you distribute it and charge a fee, you should make
clear that my program is available at SimTel by anonymous ftp. However,
you may include my program in any of your programs. Of course, if you
sell or turn into ShareWare anything that uses FORMULC, you don't have
any reason for not paying its registration fee.
You can send letters with suggestions, modified versions,
questions, money orders or checks to:
