  4. The cathedral is designed in a style transitional 
  5. from Baroque to Classicism and stands out for 
  6. an intricate plan composition. The semicircular 
  7. shape of the apse is repeated in the southern 
  8. and northern facades. A two-tier belfry is 
  9. attached to the refectory, that is topped with a 
  10. spire. The main volume is topped with five 
  11. elongated domes on high polyhedral drums. In 
  12. 1848-1850s the cathedral had the side chapels 
  13. attached to it, that changed the original 
  14. composition (architect N.Grebionka). Inside, the 
  15. carved wooden iconostasis has remained.
