  9. CreaBar can be used only under Windows 95 and it can create the most
  10. common bar codes. 
  11. It has been tested also under the Beta version of Windows 98.
  12. The program creates the code images in a graphic metafile form that
  13. can be inserted in all the Windows 95 applications (word processor,
  14. desk top publisher and vectorial graphic programs).
  15. You can create all the bar codes that you like: large dimensions
  16. codes for packages or very small ones for micro labels.
  17. CreaBar allows you to print very small bars in a clear way, the ones
  18. near to the others to obtain high density codes for laser printers
  19. and the best results for dot matrix printers.
  20. Creabar is very easy to use. It has a complete help and, during the
  21. modification  of the parameters, it shows you clear texts and
  22. images.
  23. This program has been created to insert bar codes in every type of
  24. document but, if you want to create labels taking data from a
  25. database, you must use a specific program.
  26. CompuArt has created, following the clients requests, the program 
  27. that you need: Label Laboratory. It has a complete management of
  28. dBASE III files and a graphic editor that allows you to draw every 
  29. type of label.

  31. To answer to the developers requests, we have added two DLL to 
  32. CreaBar: they can be connected to other programs.
  33. CompuArt promotes the use of its programs with applications
  34. developed by other software houses. Remember that the professional
  35. versions are not entirely or partially freely distributed.
  36. You can use the DLL in your applications but users must have the 
  37. CreaBar professional version. They can requiring the program
  38. directly to CompuArt, or you can give them, with our authorization,
  39. the CreaBar professional version.

  43. At the moment of the registration the program creates, in the
  44. Windows directory, a file called CBAR20.RG that contains the
  45. registration data: to protect your program, you must copy this file
  46. in a floppy disk.
  47. You notice that, among the CreaBar installation files, there is
  48. already the file CBAR20.RG, but it's false because it doesn't
  49. contain the registration data and it will be removed by the program
  50. at the first start.
  51. If you copy, after the registration, the CBAR20.RG created by the
  52. program on the floppy disk containing the shareware version, at the
  53. moment of an eventual reinstallation, the professional version will
  54. be installed automatically.

  56. Use of GBCODE.DLL and GBCODE32.DLL libraries
  57.  
  58. CreaBar has two dynamic link libraries (DLL) that allow you to
  59. create a bar code from the other applications inside.
  60. - GBCODE.DLL for 16 bit applications (Windows 3.1 and Windows 95)
  61. - GBCODE32.DLL for 32 bit applications (only for Windows 95)
  62. The Setup program purposes the CreaBar installation in the directory
  63. C:\CBAR20, while the libraries and the file CBAR20.RG are installed
  64. in the directory Windows in order to be available to all the
  65. applications.
  66. During an eventual disinstallation, the program will ask you a
  67. confirm to remove the file .RG, the libraries and the directory
  68. containing the program (CBAR20); the CreaBar disinstallation will be
  69. completed if you confirm this request: in this way no tracks of the
  70. program will remain in the hard disk.

  72. Registration

  74. This is a Shareware program, i.e. it's freely distributed, but it
  75. cannot be freely used.
  76. It is completely working but it allows you only to codify the EAN8
  77. and EAN13 symbologies, while a fixed not modifiable string is
  78. created for all the other codes.
  79. The registration requests can be sent by e-mail, fax or mail.
  80. In order to use CreaBar you must register your copy to CompuArt: we
  81. will send you an activation code that will change the Shareware
  82. version in the Registered version.
  83. The current registration fee is Italian Lire 46.500 (about 27 $ -
  84. US Dollars).

  89. that the program operation will be uninterrupted or error free.
