  25. Phone Plus is a full featured telephone dialer with optional Caller ID and
  26. speakerphone support.  Its features include multiple phone books, up to
  27. four numbers per entry, automatic redial of busy numbers, and call logging.
  28. The Caller ID lets you know who is calling before you answer.  An icon in
  29. the system tray lets you know that calls were logged while you were away
  30. from the computer.  Sound options allow playing a different .wav file for
  31. priority callers.  Place and receive calls using the full featured speaker-
  32. phone.  Phone Plus is TAPI compliant and can share your modem with other
  33. TAPI programs.

  36. 2. System Requirements

  38. - 80386 required, 486 or higher recommended
  39. - Microsoft(r) Windows(r) 95
  40. - VGA or Super-VGA monitor
  41. - 2 MB (minimum) of free disk space
  42. - A mouse or equivalent pointing device
  43.  
  44. In addition, the Caller ID and Speakerphone features require:
  45. - Microsoft(r) Unimodem V universal modem driver
  46. - A TAPI compliant modem with Caller ID or speakerphone functionality
  47. - Caller ID service from your phone company
  48.  
  49. Phone Plus will run on Windows NT, however the version of Unimodem that
  50. works with Windows NT does not support Caller ID or a speakerphone.

  53. 3. Installation
  54. ----------------
  55. If you are using a previous version of Phone Plus, do not uninstall it.
  56. This would remove the configuration settings.  Simply install this new
  57. version over the old one.
  58.  
  59. First, extract the files to a temporary directory. You can delete this
  60. directory when setup has completed.  Run Setup.exe and follow the
  61. instructions.  Use one of these methods to run Setup.exe:
  62.  
  63. - Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type the full path of the
  64.   temporary directory followed by a backslash and the name of the
  65.   installation program (e.g., C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE).  Press the ENTER key.
  66. - Use My Computer or the Explorer to find the Setup.exe file.  Double-
  67.   click the icon to run it.

  69. Setup only adds one icon to your Start button, so you may want to add it
  70. to an existing folder rather than create a new folder.  The setup program
  71. will give you this option.

  73. You can uninstall Phone Plus by double-clicking on "Add/Remove Programs"
  74. in the control panel, selecting Phone Plus in the list, and clicking the
  75. "Add/Remove" button.  After uninstalling you may have to manually remove
  76. the Phone Plus directory and any files left in it since the uninstall does
  77. not remove any data files that were created.

  82. If you are using a modem with Caller ID or Speakerphone capabilities and
  83. have problems using these features, be sure to read the help topic
  84. "Troubleshooting" in the chapter "About TAPI".

  98. Phone Plus is Shareware.  You may evaluate it for a period of thirty (30)
  99. days from the date of its original installation and use. After the
  100. evaluation period has elapsed you must register to continue using it.  The
  101. registration fee for Phone Plus is $19.95.

  106. DISTRIBUTION OF UNREGISTERED EVALUATION VERSIONS OF PHONE PLUS.
  107. You may distribute complete unregistered evaluation copies of Phone Plus to
  108. third-parties for the sole purpose of evaluation by them.  You must provide
  109. a full and complete copy of the original software and documentation package.
  110. If possible, please check our website first to see if you have the latest
  111. version.

  113. DISTRIBUTION OF REGISTERED OR LICENSED VERSIONS OF PHONE PLUS IS PROHIBITED.
  114. You may not, for any purpose, distribute copies of registered or licensed
