  1. You may use SoundSculptor to create custom sounds
  2. for other Ibis music software. Play It By Ear,
  3. RhythmAce and NotePlay load a sound file, IBIS.INS,
  4. at startup time.  If the file does not exist then
  5. an internally specified default timbre is used.
  6.  
  7. To create a new timbre for an Ibis program:
  8.  
  9.  1) Use SoundSculptor to design your new timbre.
  10.  
  11.  2) Save the new timbre to "IBIS.INS".  Use the
  12.     File main menu button and select the
  13.     "Save to INS" item from the pop-up menu. When
  14.     prompted for the timbre's name, type in "IBIS".
  15.  
  16.  3) Quit SoundSculptor. Use the ESC key on your
  17.     computer keyboard.
  18.  
  19.  4) Use the DOS "COPY" command to copy IBIS.INS to
  20.     the home directory of the IBIS program. For
  21.     example:

  23.       C:> COPY C:\SS\IBIS.INS C:\EAR

  27.     Note: This assumes that you have installed
  28.     SoundSculptor in a subdirectory on your C:
  29.     drive with the name "SS" and Play It By Ear
