InitPPCLib is a final (???!!!) solution for BlizzardPPC owners.
Now You may safely use BPPCFIX to remove ppc.library from memory.
Until now there was no possibility to bring ppc.library back other than reboot...
...But everything has changed...
Since today You are able to install ppc.library once again together with its ELFLOADSEG
patch. All in one. No need to execute PPCInstall in user-startup.
Requirements:
·BlizzardPPC
Distribution:
·InitPPCLibrary
·InitPPCLibrary_dirty
·documentation
Installation:
·Choose one version of the executable and copy it somewhere on your harddrive.
The clean version is very system friendly and should work on any flashrom relase.
It doesn't contain ABS addresses, everything is calculated automagically.
The dirty version is hardcoded to special address. No additional checking is done.
It just tries to create/install ppc.library. Nothing more.
Usage:
·Insert 'bppcfix install' in Your startup-seuqnce or add following module to Blizkick invotation fe.:
'Blizkick kickstart MODULE BPPCFix'
·set env-variables: powerpc/terminator 0, and powerpc/nopatch 1. Copy them to ENVARC:
·Reboot. Now You have perfectly clean PPC environment
·Open a shell and type 'InitPPCLibrary'. Done. After a while You're able again to run .elf programs
Notes:
·There is no output at all
·If You can, please use clean version. it checks presence of BPPC board in different ways. Then verifies that no
ppc kernel is started (won't install ppc.library over PUP)
·The dirty version just jumps at specific offset. NO checks are done, but ppc.library won't be created
twice
NEW in 1.1
You can install PowerUP over WarpOS. After that all #?.elf apps do work, but
DON'T run ANY WarpOS application - it'll just hang.
(Hmmm. Maybe it's time for WarpOS termination?;)))
History:
<<1.0 Many, many tryouts to "awake" ppc.library
< 1.0 Bang! A lightbulb. It's so easy
1.0 Relase (urm. it was ready, but then came 1.1)
1.1 Removed WOS check. Now it is possible to install PowerUP OVER WarpOS
