NEOPAINT PALETTE OPTIMIZER
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ INTRODUCTION │
└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
NEOPAL is a utility for NeoPaint. It'll read a PCX and create a .PAL file
with the colors used in the picture. That way, you'll be able to add more
colors to your graphic.
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ REQUIREMENTS │
└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
NEOPAL requires MS-DOS v3.1+, 640K of base memory & obviously, the excellent
software NeoPaint v3.0.
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ HOW TO USE │
└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
To use the program, simply type "NEOPAL <filename>.PCX" at the DOS prompt.
NEOPAL will then create a "<filename>.PAL". To use it, just run NeoPaint and
load the wanted PCX file. After, you go into the PALETTE EDITOR menu item and
load the new palette. When you'll exit the PALETTE EDITOR, you'll be asked
"Do you want to adjust this image to match the new palette?". Answer 'Y'es,
and you're done.
