  21. If you want to bypass an very difficult city press the [Shift] & [Tab] at
  22. the same time as you walk through the city

  45. Press K, U & V at the same time will give you unlimited bullets.
  46. Press Z, I & G at the same time will give you the floppy disk and dynamite.

  59. Wolfenstein 3-D
  60. Pressing I, L & M at the same time gives you full health, all the weapons
  61. and full ammo, but your score goes to 0.

  63. To enter the cheat or debug mode, do the following:
  64.  
  65. 1.  Invoke Wolfenstein 3-D with the "next" parameter (wolf3d -next)
  66.     if you have version 1.0, if you have version 1.1, 1.2 or the 
  67.     registered games use the "GOOBERS" parameter (wolf3d -GOOBERS).
  68.     You can also use whatever other command-line parameters you want.
  69.  
  70. 2.  Begin or restore a game.  While in the game, hold down the TAB,
  71.     CONTROL, and ENTER keys simultaneously if you used the "next"
  72.     parameter or LEFT SHIFT, ALT and BACKSPACE if you used the 
  73.     "goobers" parameter.  You should get a message stating that
  74.     debugging keys are now available.
  75.

  78. To use debugging mode commands, hold down the TAB key and one of the
  79. letter keys listed below simultaneously:
  80.  
  81. B - Changes the screen border color.  Don't ask me why it's here, but
  82.     it's here.
  83.  
  84. C - Displays the number of statics, doors, and actors in the level.  I
  85.     believe that statics are things like food and ammo that you can
  86.     pick up, and actors are the bad guys.  Doors should be
  87.     self-explanatory.
  88.  
  89. E - Moves you ahead two levels.  That's right, not one level, but two.
  90.     The W command (see below) seems to supercede this one.  Perhaps I'm
  91.     missing something.
  92.  
  93. F - Displays your current position on the level (X,Y) and orientation (A).
  94.     Seems to work only on version 1.0.
  95.  
  96. G - Turns what Id calls "GOD mode" on and off.  Basically it just
  97.     means that you're invincible.
  98.  
  99. H - Hurts you (-16% health).  Not much use to us, but I guess Id had
  100.     to debug their damage code just like everything else.
  101.  
  102. I - "Free items."  Ups your health, ammo, and score, and gives you the
  103.     next most powerful weapon.  (Machine gun if you didn't have it,
  104.     Big Grin if you did.)
  105.  
  106. M - Displays memory usage.  Loads of fun.
  107.  
  108. N - Turns "No clipping" on or off.  This lets you walk through walls.
  109.     Wall-walking does STRANGE things to the graphics (try approaching a
  110.     door from the side and opening it).  It also does strange things
  111.     to the bad guys.  If you walk into a room through the wall, often
  112.     they won't notice you at all, even if you walk right in front of
  113.     them or fire your machine gun (in some direction besides at them,
  114.     of course).
  115.  
  116. O - Changes the main viewscreen to a map of the current level, which
  117.     you can scroll through using the movement keys or the mouse.  It's
  118.     neat, but I wish that it wasn't so ugly.  Those numbers are from
  119.     the internal level format.  ESC will get you out.
  120.  
  121. P - Pauses the game, without putting up the little "Paused" window.
  122.     Useful for getting a screen shot, I guess.
  123.  
  124. Q - Bombs my machine.  Let me know if it works on yours.
  125.  
  126. S - Turns slow motion on or off.  If you have a slow computer you
  127.     don't need this.
  128.  
  129. T - Pops up a window which displays graphics and sounds from the game.
  130.     Use the left and right arrow keys to page through the entries.
  131.     If you come to a blank entry, keep going.  You'll know when you've
  132.     reached the end (500-something) because you won't be able to go
  133.     any higher.  ESC exits.
  134.  
  135. V - Asks you how many extra VBLs you want.  High values seem to make
  136.     the game sluggish and not much else.
  137.  
  138. W - Warps to any level.  10 is the secret level.  If you didn't know
  139.     there was a secret level then YOU SHOULDN'T BE READING THIS.
  140.  
  141. X - "Extra stuff."  It definitely does something, but I can't figure
  142.     out what.  Let me know what you find.
  143.  
  144. That enough commands for you?  By the way, there also appears to be a
  145. "Demo recording" mode, but it can't be entered from debugging mode.
