  18. I. )
  19.         Before you install Twork ensure that you dont have any Memory-
  20.         managers loaded ( like EMM386, Quemm ). If you dont know what this
  21.         is, make a bootdisk ( see number V ).
  22.         To install Twork all you have to do is to put the first disk
  23.         of Twork in you drive. Then do the following:
  24.  
  25.                 c:\> a:  ( your disk-drive name ) --> press return
  26.  
  27.                 c:\> install   ---> press return
  28.  
  29.         Now follow the steps at the screen.
  30.         After the Installation, please boot your computer.

  33. II. )   OS/2 Users:
  34.  
  35.         Twork runs under OS/2 Warp perfectly. It even was developed under
  36.         this system. If you encouter any problems ensure that you dos-box
  37.         settings are:
  38.                         HW-Timer = on
  39.  
  40.                         DPMI-Memory Limit = 16 MB
  41.  
  42.                         EMS-Frame Location = 0 MB
  43.  
  44.                         XMS-Frame Location = 0 MB
  45.  
  46.         Another way to make the game run is to use our predefined settings.
  47.         just right-klick on your dosbox icon and klick on settings, klick on
  48.         load and select "dosbox.set ".
  49.         After the Installation-programm has copied the game, the dos box
  50.         will crash with " loader error " or sth like that.
  51.         After backuping the file delete the file 32rtm.exe and
  52.         enter "setup". Then there should be no more problems.
  53.         ( for the technical interested: 32rtm is an dpmi-server but
  54.         OS/2 has its own better one. We put this one only for
  55.         the dos users into the game. )

  59.         Windows 95 Users:
  60.  
  61.         Twork runs under this system, but not in the second extended mode.
  62.         So if you think that Twork is too slow under Windows 95 run it in
  63.         real dos. Ensure that the dos-box settings are:
  64.  
  65.                         DPMI = 16 MB
  66.  
  67.                         EMS = 0 MB
  68.  
  69.                         XMS = 16 MB
  70.  
  71.         Please say Windows to run Twork in exclusive mode.

  74.         Novell Dos 7 Users:
  75.  
  76.         Twork runs under Novell Dos 7.

  79.         Windows 3.x Users:

  81.         Twork won't run under Windows 3.1

  87.         To run Twork you need a minimum of:
  88.             ( the scrolling wont be nice )
  89.  
  90.                 386 SX 25 with 4 MB of RAM
  91.                 and a harddisk
  92.  
  93.         To run Twork normally :
  94.  
  95.                 486 DX /2 66 with a fast local bus
  96.                 graphic adapter and 8 MB of RAM
  97.

  99.         To run Twork optimal with all (special) effects.
  100.  
  101.                 Pentium 60, fast PCI graphic adapter
  102.                 and 8 MB of RAM.

  104. IV.)    Questions and Answers:

  106.         Q:      I have a Pentium but Twork still isnt running cool.
  107.  
  108.         A:      You have a slow graphic adapter.
  109.                 You can also speed up the game with the option
  110.                 speed-factor in the settings menu.

  113.         Q:      I have a Pentium and a fast graphic adapter but
  114.                 Twork still isnt running cool.
  115.  
  116.         A:      You may have loaded a Memory-manager like EMM386.
  117.                 Do not load this managers. Make a bootdisk ( V.)

  120.         Q:      The computer crashes everytime i start the game !

  123.         A:      After backuping 32rtm.exe delete the file.

  126.         Q:      The computer still crashes.

  128.         A:      Do not load the "keyboard.sys"-device.

  131.         Q:      I have a fast computer ( Pentium 60 ), but
  132.                 the scrolling isnt cool.

  134.         A:      DO NOT LOAD THE EMM386.EXE DEVICE IN YOUR CONFIG.SYS
  135.                 This slows down your computer.

  138.         Q:      I have 4MB of Ram but the game is very slow
  139.                 and the harddisk is permanently working.
  140.                 Or the games doesnt starts.
  141.  
  142.         A:      Do not load harddisk-cache-programms like
  143.                 smartdrive... .
  144.                 Or you can disable the music in the game.
  145.  
  146.         Q:      The game crashes      
  147.         
  148.         A:      Instead of making a boot-disk you can
  149.                 press the "f5"-key, if you have
  150.                 MS-DOS 6.x or higher.
  151.                 This only works, if you dont need
  152.                 any devices for your computer.

  155. V.)     How to create a bootdisk:
  156.  
  157.         If you have loaded memory-manager like Qemm or EMM386 you
  158.         may encounter problems. To avoid these problems do not load
  159.         this managers or create a bootdisk.
  160.         To do this follow this steps:
  161.  
  162.                     1. )  Insert a disk into drive A:
  163.  
  164.                     2. )  c:\> format a: /s  ---> press return
  165.  
  166.                     3.)   c:\> if you have a soundcard which needs
  167.                                residental programms, look into the
  168.                                booklet of you soundcard to load the TSRs.
  169.  
  170. Here is an example for your start files.
  171.  
  172. Config.sys
  173.  
  174. device=c:\dos\himem.sys
  175. and your cdrom support ( to hear audio-cds )
  176. and your soundcard

  190.         To start the programm insert the disk in drive A and turn on the
  191.         computer. Change to the Twork directory and start Twork.

  193. VI.)    How to make a disk-version
  194.         Copy the file "twork2.dat" to the 2. disk.
  195.         Copy the rest of the files to disk 1.
  196.         Make sure you copied ALL the files on the directory.
