NOTE: The color config file has changed. Delete AMCOLOR.SET and
start over.
ArcMaster now supports complete program color configuration via a color
selection dialog box. Users with color systems will see the color
selection box as shown below:

The main dialog box contains two list boxes named Group and Item. The
items in the Item list will be a function of which Group is selected.
The following is an explanatory list of the items for the main file
windows and all dialog boxes.
The Background pattern character determines the background behind the
two main AM windows. The last character (█) will create a solid back
ground and if you want no background at all, simply change the Desktop
foreground color to black.

Like all AM dialog boxes, movement around the box is effected with the
mouse or via the Tab and Shift+Tab keys. The Tab key moves in order
through the main control clusters and the Shift+Tab key moves in
reverse order. Cursor movement inside a cluster is accomplished via
the Arrow keys and other keyboard cursor pad keys.
Changing colors is accompished by selecting Group item and then
selecting an item from the Item list. The foreground and background
colors of the "Text Text Text" lines will change as a guide as you
change the item's colors by setting the foreground and background
boxes.
When the colors of a Group have been set, you may check the visual
effet of the new colors by pressing the "OK" button (or Enter key) to
leave the color select dialog. Then select the window or dialog box
of the window whose colors were just changed.
The current color set may be saved to a disk file at any time. The
program color set will be saved to a file named AMCOL.SET, which
will be placed in the directory from which AM was launched. AM
will look for the file named AMCOL.SET when executed and load it if
found. You may also load the file from any directory and this permits
changing the color set when desired by keeping different color set
files in different directories.
It is not feasible to individually tailor every one of the dialogs and
windows which appear when running AM, so some of the items in the
group list affect multiple windows/dialogs. The following list
indicates which windows/dialogs are controlled by the group items.
Any dialogs not specified here are controlled by the Archive Viewer
dialog color settings.

Zoom Window
Takes on the same colors as the window active when Zoom is activated.
Users with laptop portables that have problems with the default AM
colors should ensure that AMCOL.SET does not exist and then should
start AM with the command line switch "/m". From that point you can
from that point you can save the colors and not need to use the /m
switch again.
Three sample color files are included. To try these out, rename one
to AMCOL.SET and place it in the same directory with AM.EXE and
AM.OVR. The sample files are COLORS.SET, BW.SET, and MONO.SET.
