  12.     This ZIP archive should contain two files:
  13.     Ascii Table.exe     22,528      12/6/96
  14.     ReadMe.txt (this file)

  16.     In addition, ASCII Table requires 2 DLL's:
  17.         MFC42.DLL
  18.         MSVCRT.DLL
  19.     These files can be obtained many places via the Web or FTP.

  22. Installation:
  23.     Unzip the two files contained in the archive to a directory.
  24.     To execute the program, run Ascii Table.exe.  You can create a shortcut
  25.     on your desktop or Start Menu, if you'd like.

  27. Background:
  28.     I needed an ASCII chart for a problem I was having at work.
  29.     I finally found a Win 3.x program that would display an ASCII chart,
  30.     but I didn't like it and it wasn't 32-bit.  So, Jeff and I put this 
  31.     together in a flash and I solved the problem I was having.
  32.     I like that story <g>.

  35.     Version 1.3 -- 12/6/96
  36.         Added column for Ctrl-character equivalents.
  37.         Added dialog for changing the font.
  38.         Added persistence for fonts and window location (i.e. the window 
  39.             appears at the same place, with the same font, as when you last
  40.             closed it).
  41.     Version 1.2 -- 11/1/96
  42.         Added column for character name, and added description for characters.
  43.     Version 1.1 -- 10/19/96
  44.         Fixed display problems; font was coming up too small on some machines.
  45.         Added window resizing capability.
  46.     Version 1.0 -- 10/7/96
  47.         Original release.
