  3. Installation of F-PROT involves copying all the files which make up the
  4. package to a separate directory on the hard disk or on a network server.
  5. One line is then added to AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS to load the
  6. VIRSTOP.EXE program - see VIRSTOP.TXT for further information
  7.  
  8. Earlier versions of F-PROT offered semi-automatic installation, but it was
  9. very limited - only allowed loading VIRSTOP from AUTOEXEC, and did not
  10. work on networked machines.

  12. We came to the conclusion that the installation should be handled with a
  13. dedicated "INSTALL" program and such a program now exists for the
  14. Professional version.
