  1. KKND VERSION 1.1 PATCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  2. ================================================

  4. This version of the patch will only work on English language versions of
  5. KKND.  If your version of KKND is in a different language, you will have
  6. to download the patch for that language version.
  7.  
  8. To update your system to version 1.1 of KKND, follow these instructions:
  9.  
  10. 1. Run the KKNDPTCH.EXE.  This is a self-extracting zip file. This will
  11.    create these files:
  12.         INSTALL.EXE  
  13.         KILLKKND.BAT 
  14.         KKND.EXE     
  15.         PATCH.EXE    
  16.         README.TXT   
  17.         SUPSPR.LVL   
  18.         UVCONFIG.EXE  
  19.         PROBLEMS.TXT
  20.         VIDEO.TXT
  21.  
  22. 2. Place your KKND CD into the CD drive.  Make sure that the CD doesn't
  23.    autorun (hold down [SHIFT] for about ten seconds after you put the CD in).
  24.  
  25. 3. Run the file PATCH.EXE and follow the onscreen instructions.  This patch
  26.    file will run the KKND installation.  At this point you must re-install 
  27.    KKND.  The updated KKND files will then be copied into the installed 
  28.    directory.

  31. KKND VERSION 1.1 FEATURES

  34. MULTIPLAYER MESSAGE FUNCTION
  35. ----------------------------
  36. To send a message to all the other players in the game press Ctrl-M in a
  37. multiplayer game and type in your message. Enter will send it. ESC will
  38. cancel your message. This works in the game not in the superstructure.
  39.  
  40. LONG TELEPHONE NUMBERS
  41. ----------------------
  42. KKND version 1.1 now supports telephone numbers up to 13 digits long.

  44. GROUP RECALL FEATURES
  45. ---------------------
  46. When recalling a stored group, pressing [ALT]+# will centre the screen 
  47. on the group.

  49. UNIVBE SUPPORT IMPROVED
  50. -----------------------
  51. KKND Version 1.1 includes improved video support.  The file VIDEO.TXT 
  52. lists all supported video cards.  The file PROBLEMS.TXT lists the video 
  53. cards that are still problematic and suggests solutions for these cards.
