reproduce this in it's original form, or add this info to your homepages,
but anything else is wrong. PLEASE DO NOT cut portions of this faq and put
it in your faq!! I have found at least 3 lamers who did that! Write your own
faq and if you really want to use portion of my faq at least give me credit.
I spent countless hours trying to find out the infinites myself, and it
really sucks to find out someone else using your work. Please e-mail me for
more enquires. Thanks. Comments and other info are greatly appreciated.

1.1 INTRO
I'm back!! I had planned to write this faq a while back, but lacked
determination, as well as time. But due to the tremendous success of the my
first faq :) and the request of readers whom e-mailed me asking about the
infinites in XMSFEX, I have finally decided to write a faq on what I have
found out. Any problems can be directed at psyke@pacific.net.sg. 100% reply!
As previous readers may have found out, I haven't really written a brand-new
faq for the PSX version of XMSF. I decided to use the old one, and add any
info I possibly could. But rest assured; this wouldn't be a re-released
"old" faq. Now, let's kick some butt!
1.2 "Old Intro" :)
First of all, a warning to all of you cheapos out there. This combo
list is not for you guys to thrash the other novice players. It plainly
serves as a guide to do impressive combos (not do mention cheap) on the cpu,
or against other cheap players. So, I hope that you are not reading this
faq so that you can "bully" the others at the arcade.(Who am I kidding?)

WHAT'S ADDED: ALL NEW FAQ FEATURING XMSFEX!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! READ BEFORE PROCEEDING!!! DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU DON'T!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Due to the fact that the PSX version of the game actually follows
version 2 of the arcade game, which actually altered the game significantly
to remove many infinites or made them harder to do, some of the infinites
in the in the arcades are no where to be found in the PSX version. (Darn!)
So, in order to make this a multipurpose faq, I've decided to keep the arcade
portion intact, and will write a whole new section specifically for each
character in the PSX version of X-men VS Street Fighters EX-Edition.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS & INFINITY COMBOS
#########################################
X-MEN
######
1) CYCLOPS
===========
Cyclops is one of the easiest characters in the game to initiate the
combos, and one of his infinity combos only uses 3 buttons. His basic moves
are all useful as well, and his 2 hyper-x moves are very powerful too. This
makes Scott a fave in the game.
OPTIC BLAST: QCF + P
OPTIC REFLECT: QCB + P
GENE SPLICE: DP + P
CYCLONE KICK: QCB + K
CLOSE LINE: F,F + 3+6
RAPID PUNCHES: F,F + 1+4 TAP P
MEGA OPTIC BLAST: QCF + 2P
TACKING BLAST: QCB + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS:
Launch opponent in air with 2. Super jump after, and press 1,4,2,5,3,
pause a while in the corner, and aim another 3 at the falling opponent. This
should put him back in the air for a few seconds, allowing you to fall to
the ground, get your balance back and jump back at him. Aim your 1 at him.
once it connects, press 2,3 in succession. Fall back down and immediately
jump up again. The joystick should be held at directly up by now. Repeat
the 1,2,3 punches in the corner. This, if done correctly, is Cyclops's
easiest infinity combo.
Launch your opponent into the air by 2 then follow by 1,4,2,5,3.
Now your opponent hits the corner press 3 again. When Cyclop fall into the
ground jump to the opponent and press 1,4,2 wait for a while and press 3.
Repeat 1,4,2 and 3 again.
XMSFEX:
~~~~~~~
Holy cow! What happened to Cyclops here?? All his infinites in the
arcade are gone! His fierce punch seems to hit the opponent away as soon as
it connects, and even the roundhouse kick is hard to connect sometimes. On
the bright side, his beam attacks still do a lot of damage, and his specials
are still very useful. While it took me quite a while, I have actually found
out a infinite for cyke in the game. It's quite hard to do, but once you get
the hang of it it's ok. Here it is:
Launch opponent in air while at corner. Use cyke's magic series,
which is 1, 4, 2, 5, but instead of 3 do a 6. This prevents cyclops from
hitting the victim down. Here is quite tricky: while you are falling down
with the opponent do a jab into a roundhouse (1, 6). You will fall faster
than your opponent. Jump up and do 4, 2, 5, 6. Fall and repeat. Note: Be
sure to experiment, as different opponents may require different buttons.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2) WOLVERINE
==============
Wolverine has loads of different combo combinations. It is almost
impossible to list them all, so I will only list the easiest, which has
worked for me. All his normal moves are very good, in fact so good that
you'll find his two hyper-x quite useless, unless used in a combo. IMO,
Wolverine is the best comboer in the game.
BESERKER BARRAGE: QCF + P TAP P
TORNADO CLAW: DP + P
DRILL CLAW: DIRECTION + 2+4
SUPER BESERKER BARRAGE: QCF + 2P
WEAPON X: DP + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS:
After launching the opponent with 6, super jump and press; 1,4,2,
down+5, 6,6. Then at the corner, hold the joystick direction up and press
4,5,6 in a pattern. If done correctly, Logan will jump directly up in front
of the corner, kicking his victim 3 times. fall back down, and would be
able to jump up again in time to repeat the combo.
Another way is to launch your opponent into the air by 6 jump and
press 1,4,2,down+5,6.Jump and press 1,4,2,6.Repeat jump again.
Yet another way is launch, 1, 4, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1+5, 6, 6. Jump up and
do the 3 kick combo above. This is actually the same, but definitely more
stylish with the use of his drill claw. Hiak :)
XMSFEX:
Well nothing much, except one question: HOW DO YOU USE HIS DRILL CLAW
WITH THE PLAYSTATION CONTOLLER??? I've tried and tried, but failed to perfect
it. And what happened to his down+mid kick and weak kick roundhouse off the
ground combo?? Apparently old wolvie has been weaken in this incarnation...
well but he at least he still got his infinite here....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3) GAMBIT
==========
Gambit is one of the coolest characters in the game, but I can't say
he's the most popular or most useful guy around. His combos does decent
damage, but is hard to do at times, and there is any really impressive ones
for Gumbo. His specials have a really long lag time which really doesn't
help out alot.
KINETIC CARD: QCF + P
TRICK CARD: QCB + P
CAJUN SLASH: DP + P
CAJUN STRIKE: CD, U + K
ROYAL FLUSH: QCF + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS
*ONLY IN THE CORNER* after a fierce throw, dashing 4,5,6, jab
kinetic card, dashing 4,5,6,jab kinetic card, dashing 4,5,6,....etc.....
*ONLY IN THE CORNER* crouching 4, crouching 3, SJ, 4, 3, 5, 3, 6, 4,
(land), 456,(walk up), 456, (walk up), 456 ....etc......
XMSFEX:
Hmm....nothing much here, except that he can chain all 3 royal flush
together to give a instant 99 hit combo. His trick card is useless, but he
got a few good ground combos. Remember his super also covers his head, as he
throws his bo up before unleashing his cards. A trick here is to launch the
opponent and immediately do the super. The bo will connect and bring him down
, right into Gambit's charged cards.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4) ROGUE
=========
Rogue is a very good character, though people tend to underestimate
her. Her moves might seem awkward to use at first, but if used properly
can be very effective. One major plus for her is the abilty to steal her
opponent's powers. Thus, Rogue's powers inventory changes from battle
to battle, and the variety of powers that she can own is very appealing.
RAPID PUNCHES: QCF + P
RUSHING REPEAT: DP + P
DRAINING KISS: QCB + K
USE DRAINED POWER: QCF + K
GOOD NIGHT SUGAR: QCF + 2P
RAGING DEMON: 1,1,F,4,3 (AFTER DRAINING AKUMA)
POWERS ROGUE CAN STEAL:
RYU: HADOKEN
KEN: SHORYUKEN
CYCLOPS: OPTIC BLAST
WOLVERINE: BESERKER BARRAGE
CHARLIE: SONIC BOOM
CHUN-LI: KIKOKEN
AKUMA: RAGING DEMON (!) AND AIR HADOKEN
CAMMY: SPINNING ARROW
STORM: WHIRLWIND TOSS
MAGNETO: HYPER GRAVITATION
DHALSIM: YOGA FLAME
ZANGIEF: SPINNING PILEDRIVER
JUGGERNAUT: EARTHQUAKE PUNCH
M.BISON: PSYCHO SHOT
SABRETOOTH: BERSERKER CLAW
GAMBIT: KINETIC CARD
INFINITY COMBOS
This only works on Charlie, as you will have to steal his sonic boom
in order to do the combo. Firstly, kiss Charlie and have his sonic boom
projectile in your possesion. Trap him into a corner and use a fierce sonic
boom followed by a jab sonic boom. Repeat till he's history.
Almost like Sabretooth's.Jump up diving kick(diagonally forward+HK),
Jump again,on the way up,LK,then quickly diving kick.Repeat for infinity.
This combo is hard to do and requires much practice. Works only on same
characters as Sabretooth's.
XMSFEX:
I can get the second infinite to work, even on Cyclops, but not the
first. Heck, I haven't even seen the 1st one being done before. But I'll
just leave in here for variety. Rouge is a good character, but still not my
type. Her fierce punch launcher is useless, as well as her air magic series.
I usually do her rushing punches in the air as a finisher. Her infinite is
actually quite simple, but she lacks another super.
TRICKS!
A simple trick with her is to corner yourself, and do her power
stealing kiss. The opponent will then be thrown into the corner. Do her
super and be ready to be punched if you're not playing against the computer.
5) STORM
=========
Storm is another awkard character to use. Her hyper-x can prove to
be useless in times of need, and I've seen many people pick Storm because
they think they can just cheese you to death. It might work against the
younger players, but mostly it is just courting death in front of the veteran
players.
WHIRLWIND TOSS: QCF + P
LIGHTNING: DIRECTION + 2+4
DOUBLE TYPHOON: QCB + P
FLIGHT: QCB + 2K
LIGHTNING STORM: QCF + 2P
ICE STORM: QCB + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS
UPWARDS LIGHTNING ATTACK, DOWNWARDS LIGHTNING ATTACK, (LAND),
UPWARDS LIGHTNING ATTACK, DOWNWARDS LIGHTNING ATTACK, (LAND), UPWARDS......
etc...
*only in the corner combo.*
*by the way the lightning attack command is: press 2+4 simultaneously
(choose direction)*
XMSFEX:
Well she still sucks, and unless you have a joy stick you can forget
about doing her infinite, as she also requires the drill claw motion.
Nothing much for her now, sorry storm fans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6) MAGNETO
===========
Magneto is yet another dark horse. His moves have long lag times and
his hyper-x is also below average. However, he does have some exellent
specail moves which redeem him a little. His comboing abilty is not that
good as well, as his normal moves need precise timing to connect.
DISRUPTER: QCF + P
HYPER GRAVITATION: QCB + K
MAGNETIC BLAST: U, UF, F + P
FORCEFIELD: HCF + K
FLIGHT: QCB + 3K
MAGNETIC SHOCKWAVE: QCF + 2P
MAGNETIC TEMPEST: QCF + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
HK,Hyper Gravitation(D,DB,B+HK).Repeat.Works only on street
fighter characters except BISON. May work on Wolverine.
XMSFEX:
Nothing much also. His "infinite" works here, but only on smaller
characters. Well a lot of animation is lost here, as it can be seen from
his cape, which only has 3 frames. His magnetic tempest in unchainable in
the air, unlike Marvel Super Heroes. An okay character, IMHO.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7) JUGGERNAUT
==============
Hey, do not underestimate the big guy! He has a few really really
cheaps moves too! And exen better is that he does not stun in the first
few hits so you can retaliate before the combo starts. His moves does a lot
of damage as well, so use his Citorak power-up as much as possible to inflict
maximum damage.
CITORAK POWER-UP: DP + PP
EARTHQUAKE PUNCH: QCB + P
JUGGERNAUT PUNCH: QCF + P
JUGGERNAUT BODY PRESS: HCF + K ( IN AIR )
NAIL SLAM: HCB + K
OBJECT TOSS: D, D + 3P
JUGGERNAUT HEAD CRUSH: QCF + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS
Use a slam or any method to lift your opponent high up in the air,
while you are still on the ground. Time carefully and immediately do the
Juggernaut head crush. If it connects, most likely you will be in the corner.
Hold the joystick at a 45 degrees angle towards the corner. Aim and tap the
3 button( heavy punch ). Yes, thats right. A one button infinity combo!
This combo requires a lot of timing, keep trying.
XMSFEX:
I cannot get his infinite mentioned above to work, simply because his
fierce punch just lunges his opponent down, and there is almost no way to hit
him/her again. Well nevertheless try this if you can: While in corner, lauch
and press 4, 2, 5, 3. While falling try to catch the opponent using 1, then 3
. Fall and jump up pressing 1, 3. Repeat. This may not work. But, I'll keep
working on it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8) SABRETOOTH
==============
Sabretooth is a strong contender in the X-men VS Street Fighter
universe. He is quite similar to Wolverine, so you know his comboing abilty
is just as good. Like Logan, all his normal moves are exellent, and one
can usually win without using any of his hyper-x powers. He has an air slam
which is very hard to avoid( although it can be tech-hitted ), and does
tons of damage.
BERSERKER CLAW: QCF + P
WILD FANG: QCB + P
BIRDIE: QCB + K
SUPER BERSERKER CLAW: QCF + 2P
SUPER BIRDIE: QCB + 2K
ANIT-X: DP + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS
I know one now, but is not whether it would work or not. My friend
told this combo to me, and I've seen others tried it but failed. Hopefully
you can do it. It consists of only 2 buttons, which are the two fierce
buttons, 3 and 6. I think it only works on the bigger sized characters, such
as Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Zangief, etc.
Firstly, jump towards the opponent and press 3, followed by the 6
quickly. Do not let do of the joystick direction; keep Sabretooth jumping.
Repeat the above motions in quick succession. If done correctly, you will
be able to recover from your attack while you land, and be able to jump again
before your opponent gets out of his stun. Keep trying. I've seen people to
this combo at least to 9 hits, and I'm sure more hits can be done this way.
Works on X-men characters except Wolverine,and Akuma,Dhalsim.
XMSFEX:
Phew. His infinite is made much much harder to do. And strange enough
it DOES NOT work on Juggernaut. Personally I don't think his infinite is of
any use here. Instead practice on his air slam followed by his berserker claw
super. Yah, and his standing animation is pretty bad too.......sigh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE STREET FIGHTERS
####################
1) RYU
=======
Ryu is a solid character and is good for beginners to try out the
new comboing abilities, especially for those SF fans new to the world of
crazy combos and super jumps. Like in the Alpha series, Ryu has his vacuum
fireball ( abeit much larger ) and his vacuum hurricane kick. The vacuum
hurricane kick is quite dangerous to use, as if the opponent blockes it,
he can simply puch out of it, leaving Ryu spinning to his doom.
HADOKEN: QCF + P
SHORYUKEN: DP + P
TATSUMAKISENPUUKYA: QCB + K
SHINKUU HADOKEN: QCF + 2P
SHINKUU TATSUMAKISENPUUKYAKU: QCB + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
Launch your enemy into the air with d+3. Super jump after and then
press 1, 4, 5, 6 pause a while, wait for both you and the falling enemy to
reach the corner bottom. Before he hits the ground, press another 6 to
launch him back up. Aim the joystick 45 dergrees up and then press 1, 6.
Repeat. If the opponent gets too low use 1, 4, 6. 100% workable on PSX.
Here is a much more easier infinity combo, and is much cheaper to
boot. Warning! Doing this combo on a human opponent is dangerous, as he
might not like such cheapness........
Press 5 to do the hopping kick towards the opponent. Once it connects
press d+2. Then immediately do the hopping kick once more. Repeat and there
you have it: the cheapest infinity combo in the entire game.
XMSFEX:
His first infinite is in the game, and is IMO the easiest to do. It's
the same as Ken's and Akuma's. Just remeber to use 3 hits instead of 2 when
the opponent gets too low. Timing is important. Luckily we PS owners have
a training mode to brush up our skills....hee
His second infinite, along with Akuma's is gone. Wich is for the
betterm as they are too, cheap even in this game. Well dat's looking on the
bright side for yer. Hiakz.
TRICKS!:
Launch with down+3. SJ after and hit 1, 4, 5. Then immediately keep
tapping 2 for a air slam, in which Ryu grabs the victim and throws him
backwards. You will be facing him with him falling. Do a shinkuu hadoken
super before he falls beneath you. You'll nail him right everytime, unless
he tech-hits your throw.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2) KEN
=======
Ken is weaker compared to Ryu in this SF game. He lacks a super
projectile and it is killing him. Both his SCs can be pushed away from, if
blocked, and there is not much variety in the moves that can be performed.
Overall, Ken is still a decent character, and one of my faves, since I like
his infinite. His shinryuken super is cool too.
HADOKEN: QCF + P
SHORYUKEN: DP + P
TATSUMAKISENPUUKYA: QCB + K
ROLL: QCB + P
SHORYUREPPA: QCF + 2P
SHINRYUKEN: QCF + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
Launch your enemy into the air with d+3. Super jump after and then
press 1, 4, 5, 6 pause a while, wait for both you and the falling enemy to
reach the corner bottom. Before he hits the ground, press another 6 to
launch him back up. Aim the joystick 45 dergrees up and then press 1, 6.
Repeat. If the opponent gets too low use 1, 4, 6. 100% workable on PSX.
XMSFEX:
Nothing much to be added here. Ken is a good character meant to be
played offensively. He can also do an air slam using the method same as Ryu
described above, and MAYBE you can chain it into a shinryuken if you are
quick. I seem to have done it once, but.....you tell me.
TRICKS!:
Nothing really spectacular here, except some methods of chaining his
super. To chain his shoryureppa, just dash forward and hit 1, down+4, down+5
and do the super. There are many many other methods, so find one that suits
your personality. After all, it's how you fight that counts.
To chain his shinryuken you can just launch him and immediately to
the super. Easy to connect, cool to see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3) AKUMA
=========
Akuma is a great character, having lotsa moves and 4 SCs. However,
there is one serious drawback, which might cause people to think twice about
selecting Gouki. He cannot trade hits with the other characters, as his
life meter would go down much faster than theirs. This is to compensate his
tons of special moves. But if you're an Akuma expert, who cares about trading
hits, when you are giving your opponent a massage with the raging demon?
GOUHADOKEN: QCF + P
ZANKOHADOKEN: QCF + P IN AIR
SHAKUNETSU GOUHADOKEN: HCF + P
GOUSHORYUKEN: DP +P
ROLL: QCB +P
MESSATSU GOUHADOKEN: QCB + 2P
SHORYUREPPA: QCF + 2P
FIREBALL RAIN: QCF + 2P IN AIR
RAGING DEMON: 1,1,F,4,3
XMSFEX:
Like Ryu, Akuma has lost his cheap mp mk infinite. Nothing much has
changed, and still one of the better characters.
TRICKS!:
Not an infinite combo, but opponent will be amazed.you actually
perform 2 of the raging demon moves in this combo, but WARNING!!! after the
second raging demon, your opponent will not be laying on the ground. He will
be standing up, so he can counter you any time. So when you perform this
combo, make sure you're positive that after the second raging demon, your
opponent will be dead!! also, you must be in the corner.* standing 1, RAGING
DEMON,(when opponent is on the fround), crouching 4, standing 6, RAGING DEMON.
That's it.make sure your fingers are quick enough. If you think your opponent
is not going to die,after the crouching 4, simply connect into a crouching 3
and take him into your other air combo infinite.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4) CHUN-LI
===========
Chun-li, like in the Alpha series, is a terrific fighter. She is one
of the fastest character in the game, and her SCs are easy to chain and
execute as well. Her combos are exellent too, doing lots of damage. The point
is, she's one of the best characters in the game.
HUNDRED KICKS: TAP K REPEATLY
TENSHOKA: CD, U + K
KIKOKEN: HCF + P
SENBANKYA: HCB + K
SUPER KIKOKEN: QCF + 2P
SENRETSU KYAKU: QCF + 2K
HAZAN TENSHOKYAKU: QCB + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS (NEW!):
Here's the infinite that I've found while playing on the PSX version.
Launch the victim up into the corner. Follow after and hit 1, 4, 2, 5, (this
is important) forward+6. As Chun-li has 2 types of rounhouse kicks, you'll
have to use the one with only one hit that hit's the victim sideways.
Accomplish this using forward+6. When you beging to fall, hit foward+6 again
to bounce him right up the corner again. Jump up and hit 1, 4, 2, forward+6.
Repeat. REMEMBER not to let go of the direction pad ans pressing it again
will initiate Chun-li's double jump. Unfortunately, her double jump makes
this harder, as being unable to control the direction means you are more
likely to miss the opponent. It took me quite a while to master it, but it
IS possible. Keep trying.
TRICKS!:
A easy way to chain her thousand leg burst super is by dashing or
jumping in and hitting 1, down+4, down+5, super. Quite cheap, but useful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5) ZANGIEF
===========
With the additioon of the super jumps, Zangief is no longer slow
and clumsy (well, sort of.......). His slams are more flashy now, and does
more damage. The only con is his inablity to do impresive combos, and in this
game filled with combos this makes Zangief a tough guy to use.
SPINNING LARIAT: 3P
S.SPINNING LARIAT: 3K
SPINNING PILEDRIVER: 360 DEGREES + P
SIBERIAN SUPLEX: 360 DEGREES + K (CLOSE)
BANISHING PUNCH: DP + P
FLYING POWER: HCF + K
GRAB DASH: F,F + 3+6
SIBERIAN BEAR CRUSHER: 360 DEGREES + 2P
INFINITY COMBOS
Launch your opponent into the air with d+2. Super jump after and press
1, 4, 4+5+6, jump again and repeat the procedure.
XMSFEX:
His infinite is certifield, and I have done it myself. This distance
to land for the consecutive launcher is a pain, but once you get the hang
of it this infinite is a snap.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6) DHALSIM
===========
Not one of my best nor favourite characters. In fact, I have never
used him before in the arcades! However, I HAVE seen people used Firebreath
effectively, and even winning a few rounds with him. His long limbs, instead
of helping him, just makes matters worst. They are often hit by projectiles,
and the lag time in doing the long attacks often results in getting the
super attacks in Dhalsim's face.
YOGA FIRE: QCF + P
YOGA FLAME: HCB + P
YOGA STRIKE: HCB + K
YOGA TELEPORT: DP + 3P OR 3K
SUPER YOGA FIRE: QCF + 2P
HARMONIC DESTRUCTION: QCF + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
Jump then down+4) and then a 3 and jump again d+4, 3 jump again d+4,
3 repeat (just like Rogue's infinite). This only works on bigger opponents,
and is very difficult to time.
XMSFEX:
Well I think his infinite no longer exist, but any information is
appreciated. His launcher sucks big time, and his air combos lack punch as
well. Not a very good character, especially against characters with infinites
or lengthly combos. :(
7) CAMMY
=========
A surprise return, Cammy actually makes a name for herself. Known as
the new Spider-man, Cammy has execllent moves, though lacking a fireball.
Her SCs does terrific damage, and is also very cool if you can actually chain
it. A decent character.
SPINNING ARROW: QCF + K
ASSAULT KNUCKLE: QCF + P
CANNON SPARK: DP + K
FURIGA COMBINE: QCB + K,P
CANNON COUNTER: QCB + P
AIR THRUST KICK: QCB + K
SPINNING HELL MIRAGE: QCF + 2K
POWER RANGER ASSAULT(?):QCB + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
Launch with standing HK.Jump up,hit,(slowly)1, 4, 2, 3, 6. Like
AKUMA/CYCLOPS's,another HK at the falling opponent when he is beside you.
Jump from the ground and hit the same buttons.
XMSFEX:
My friend could do her infinite, but I never really tried it. Use
at your own risk! I don't really use some of the SF gang because of their
poor air combos and poor launchers, but Cammy is cool, and her supers and be
linked. EX-style, of course.
8) CHARLIE
===========
Charlie has been upgraded in this version, with much better moves,
and can be geared more towards offendsiveness, instead of defending all the
time. But still, if you're using him, you'll be charging almost all the time.
His SCs are much more effective here, and are much easier to initiate. It is
also possible to chain them up for high hitting combos.
SONIC BOOM: CB, F + P
SOMERSAULT SHELL: CD, U + K
SOMERSAULT SLASH: U, UF, F + K (IN THE AIR)
SONIC BOOM BARRAGE: QCF + 2P
KICK ASSAULT: QCF + 2K
SOMERSAULT JUSTICE: QCB + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
Launch with crouching HP.Jump up and hit,(slowly) 1, 4, 2, 3, 6.
While falling with victim hit 6 again. Once connected, jump up again and hit
1, 4, 5, 6. Hit the buttons early and try to juggle opponent as high as
possible. Timing is crucial, but you'll get the hang of it.
XMSFEX:
Infinite is certifield to work. You can also try other combinations.
Charlie is one of the better street fighters and now that EX-style combos
are possible, he's even deadlier. You can even link 3 sonic breaks together.
9) M.BISON
===========
The big M has also been upgraded in this version, with the addition
of a projectile. However, his SCs are still as lame as ever, and his special
moves can easily be countered. Hard to use, but if you can manage to use him
effectively, you might be a worthy adversary.(?)
PSYCHO SHOT: HCF + P
DEMON KNEE PRESS: HCF + K
HEAD STOMP: QCB + K,K
PSYCHO FIELD: HCB + P
FLIGHT: QCB + 3K
PSYCHO CRUSHER: QCF + 2P
HELL FURY KICKS: QCF + 2K
INFINITY COMBOS
NONE YET
XMSFEX:
What to say? He sucks.
INFINITY COMBOS: GOOD or BAD ?
###############################
I used to hate those cheap infinity combos, but seeing all those
people doing them at the arcades changed my mind. I started learning a few of
them and soon I was addicted to the game. I seldom do infinity combos on
other novice players but when I get challenged by another player who plays
not for fun but just to win, who does one on me, I get annoyed and thats
where this faq comes in.
Overall, I still hope that Capcom would eliminate these cheap combos,
or make them much much harder to do. Then we won't have to watch helplessly
when our characters is being beaten by a cheap player.
Last but not least, I think I might have an idea to eliminate the
infinity combos, but still keeping all those cool air combos and chains. If
anyone from Capcom is reading this, please take note of my idea. Who knows,
it might just work! My idea is to add another bar below the life meter. Its
purpose is to break combos. Yup. Combo breaking! It should fill up quite fast
, and when the opponent does a infinity combo you can just wait till the
meter fills up and then using a joystick motion, you can do a combo breaker
to stop the combo. This way, no combos would last long enough for the combos
to be called cheap.
