TIE SHIP EDITOR VERSION 1.1
===========================
1.) JUST WANT TO FLY AN XWING IN TMB MADE MISSION (NO TRAINING)
a.) Use the RTM1.MDL Module - this enables the cockpit for
use by specifying the TIEINT files as a host.
FILE ALTERED: FLIGHT.OVL found in C:\TIE
b.) Copy HX1W.tie and HX2W.tie to your \MISSION directory
c.) Specify these filenames for Historic Mission 1 & 2 in the
Rebel Fighter Module.
2.) WANT TO USE X-WING IN TRAINING ROOM
a.) Must go through step 1 to activate Rebel Ships first!
b.) Use the Ship8:Imperial X-Wing XWING.MDL file
(i) Go to the TIE\RESOURCE directory
(ii) Copy the ship2.lfd - any other file will screw this up!
(iii) Copy it to the C:\ part of your drive (or any other neutral area)
(iv) Go to the c:\ and rename the copied file to ship8.lfd
(v) Copy the ship8.lfd (renamed from ship2.lfd) back to C:\TIE\RESOURCE
(vi) Now use the UGE XWING.MDL module to read and alter it
c.) Make sure you have selected new Historical Missions files.
(i) Or change the standard ones listed to have the Rebel ship
as the player's flight group or else you'll never see the
new ship.
3.) WANT TO IMPROVE A TIE SHIP
a.) Use the Tie Ship Editor Module
b.) Change the weaponry start & finish racks (Begin with 0!!!)
c.) Make sure that you put in x,y,z coordinates if there arent any...
(i) A Tie Fighter has 4 racks assigned: 2 Laser, 2 missile.
(ii) Let's say you want 4 Lasers and 2 missiles
(iii) Change Laser 1 end to 3 (0,1,2,3 = 4 Lasers)
THE START IS ALWAYS 0 SO DON'T CHANGE THAT.
(iv) Change the Missile START to 4 and END to 5
(v) There are only 4 sets of coordinates given so we
need to add some.
(vi) Just copy the numbers from the first 2 into these extra
slots.
