  58.                          SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
  59. ============================================================================

  61. Submissions will be accepted via anonymous ftp from 1/8/96 through 3/31/96.
  62. It is important that you follow the directions below or your submission will
  63. not be accepted.
  64.  
  65.   Save a copy of this mail to a file called 'sub_form'.  You will be
  66.   required to include a copy in your submission archive, as noted below.
  67.  
  68.   Use 'tar' to archive your entire Java application.  Your tar file should
  69.   be given the eight character ID name listed above.  Any other name will not
  70.   get filed correctly with your registration entry and therefore will not be
  71.   accepted.
  72.  
  73.   The tar file will include:
  74.  
  75.     * All images, sounds, source code (*.java) and compiled classes
  76.       (*.classes) and a local html page with the embedded applet.
  77.  
  78.     * Everything necessary to run the applet locally by the judges is
  79.       required for entry. If the applet is not ready to run, it will not
  80.       be considered.
  81.  
  82.     * If the applet requires the Internet for any kind of the data feed
  83.       and the data feed is not available to us at the time of
  84.       judging, ensure that you can simulate that data feed locally from
  85.       a file. That file should be included as part of the submittal.
  86.  
  87.     * A copy of this mail named 'sub_form'.
  88.  
  89.     * A 'README' file if necessary.

  91.   Login using Anonymous FTP to javacontest.sun.com.  Use the name
  92.   'anonymous' and enter your e-mail address for the password.  Then
  93.   place your tar file in the /incoming directory.
