  22.         Given the basic condition stated above, you may:

  24.         1) Copy this software and give it to everybody, provided
  25.            that you DON'T CHANGE the original archive: distribute
  26.            the original ZIP file you received, and DON'T modify
  27.            any of the files in it included.

  29.         2) You may change the files in this packet for your
  30.            personal use ONLY (for example you might change the mex
  31.            source to suite your particular needs).

  33.         3) You CAN'T distribute any changed files coming from this
  34.            archive: if you make changes and wish to distribute
  35.            them ask me, and I'll include your files in the next
  36.            release.

  39.         * Commercial and non-commercial license:

  41.         There are two types of license, for BackFtp: commercial and
  42.         not commercial. My definition of 'commercial' is:

  44.             - if your BBS is a commercial site, that is you have
  45.               commercial services on it, you ARE commercial;
  46.             - if your BBS is held in a commercial environment,
  47.               even if you don't sell anything with the BBS, you
  48.               ARE commercial;
  49.             - if you're not commercial, but ask your users to pay
  50.               some money to use BackFtp on your BBS, you ARE
  51.               commercial for me;
  52.             - if you don't fall in one of the above, you're not
  53.               commercial.

  56.         * Prices

  58.         SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY PRICE for BackFtp 1.0
  59.  
  60.         I will provide special prices for first 20 users (of each
  61.         category, i.e. 20 commercial and 20 not-commercial
  62.         licenses) who will register the program.
  63.         Prices are:

  65.         Not commerical license................... US$ 10
  66.         Commercial license....................... US$ 20
  67.  
  68.         After these 20 licenses have gone, prices will rise a
  69.         little.

  72.         * Support

  74.         Given the absence of any warranty, I will provide support
  75.         via E-mail and Fidonet or OS2net Netmail.

  89.         Registered users will have preference in support, while I
  90.         cannot grant support for unregistered copies of BackFtp.
  91.         Registered users will be notified about any new release of
  92.         BackFtp, and will have right to use any version of BackFtp
  93.         (i.e. you pay only once in your life).
  94.         Maybe I will release different version in the future, that
  95.         is a slightly limited shareware version and a full
  96.         featured version for registered users. This won't be
  97.         necessary if you, user, register your copy (it's not
  98.         expensive, is it?).
