Fantasy Software Message To Next Caller
v1.10Γ
For
Remote Access 2.01
FMTNC │ What is the Message to next caller door ?
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│
A Message To Next Caller door. (Must be obvious :-))
But a special kind of mtnc door!, this door allows two or
four users to leave a mtnc message. This means there is not
room for silly advertising of me as the programmer or that
it is registered to you. One user can leave only one
message, so if he/she tries to occupy the whole screen,
sorry nope he/she will just erase his/her previous message
and replace it by the new one. Also each user can choose
his own color for his message.
It will keep the messages in a database, for each
language you have one (assuming you use the MTNC
door in that particular language). So let's say
you have two languages:
1 - Dutch
2 - English
F-MTMC.1 will keep messages written by the users that have
the 1st language
F-MTMC.2 will keep messages written by the users that have
the 2nd language.
This means you can use the same directory + Exe file for
all languages.
For an example on how it could be on your system look at
example.asc
! If you DO NOT want to use seperate data files for each
! language then you should give the parameter /N it will
! then save all messages in only one data file.
You can also specify user you do not want to leave a message
to the next callers. Specify the names in 'TWIT.CTL', if the
user tries to startup the door it will give a fake runtime
error:
Runtime Error 217 at 0000:0033.
It will also log in the ra log file that he tried to start
the door.
Also if no datafile is present, a little ad will be placed
in screen 2.
Note that this is a COMPLETE rewrite of the 'old' FMTNC
(last public release was v1.06). This also means it isn't
well tested by me or any other beta tester. Ofcourse the
look of FMTNC has stayed the same.
! You as sysop can choose which screen you want to place
! your message in. So if you want to replace a message
! just enter the number :-)

FMTNC │ Installation
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│
Well this is very simple.
You just install it as an type 7 menu
There are two ways to install F-Mtnc
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
1st:
c:\ra\mtnc\f-mtnc.exe c:\ra\text-nl\welcome1.ans
In this way it will ONLY create the ansi file!
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
2nd:
c:\ra\mtnc\f-mtnc.exe c:\ra\text-nl\welcome1
In this way it will create a ascii and a ansi file!
So leave the extension of the output file, if you wish to
create both files.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
In this way you can install it for each language you
have. Just use a different output file.
Parameters
──────────
/N ─> to create only one datafile instead of a data file for
each language (this should be always be the 2nd
parameters (after the path+filename of the output
file(s))
/4 ─> To enable 4 MTNC screens instead of 'only' two screens
this can be either the 2nd or 3th paramater.
Example:
c:\ra\mtnc\f-mtnc.exe c:\ra\text-nl\welcome1 /N
or
c:\ra\mtnc\f-mtnc.exe c:\ra\text-nl\welcome1 /N /4
or
c:\ra\mtnc\f-mtnc.exe c:\ra\text-nl\welcome1 /4
FMTNC │ How to Register ?
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│
This program is Cardware/Shareware.
There are 2 ways of registering this piece of software
1st: You send me a nice card of your home town (or a nice
photo of your girlfriend, sister, dog or whatever :-))
This you do when you think this software is nice, or
you just can't spare the few dollars this software
costs (e.g. if you are a student or something like that)
2nd: You send me 5$, ƒ5 or 5 DM. You fill in F-MTNC.REG and
send it along with the money to me. This you do when
you think this software is really great!
Note that you MUST register after your 30 day trial period
has expired.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Andrew Milner for writing Remote Access. (But you really
ought to change that internal tagger !)
Rick Barrowclough for giving a good suggestion, 2 bad
he was only one day too late to have it built in v1.05 :-(
Users that made me decide to install the twit function :-)
Mariah Carey for standing by me with her great music while
completly rewriting this software :-)
You, for reading this and maybe even trying the program.
