Well after searching for a small, fast and handy utility for checking
uploads without the fuss because the test must be as quick possible, and
not found it, i wrote it myself. RAUS will test uploaded files, it doesn't
send anything to the modem, it only tests, and does it fast.
Installing RAUS:
- Place RAUS.EXE and RAUS.CTL in a directory.
- Startup RACONFIG, go to OPTIONS, go to FILES, go to UPLOAD SCAN and
go to SCAN UTILITY.
- Enter as command-line: RAFT.EXE @ *M *N
the *N is optional and is only neccesary in a multiline configuration.
- Set the options concerning what to do when an upload has failed the test.
- Save your new configuration.
- Exit RACONFIG.
- Edit RAUS.CTL and save it (See the example RAUS.CTL for more info).
Using RAUS:
When installed, RA will startup RAUS after an upload and RAUS will match
the extension of the file that is being checked with the extension in the
RAUS.CTL file, when found the command for testing the file matching the
extension will be executed.
Before executing RAUS is swapped to EMS, XMS or DISK leaving just 2.5 KB
of code in memory.
When RAUS detects an error, or when the test-utility returns a non-zero
errorlevel, RAUS will end with an errorlevel of 255, Remote Access will
use this errorlevel to see if an upload passed the test.
See the sample RAUS.CTL for more information.
I don't like long docs, so i say Bye Bye!
