Welcome to Couples Two. This is a re-write of the
game I released some time ago entitled Couples (Original or
what). The aim of the game is the same but I have made it much
easier to play. All work is done with the mouse. This is a Two
player game only.
HOW TO PLAY.
============
Click the mouse to get rid of the opening screen and then
enter your names using the letters. Once done and if everything is
O.K. click on 'Y'. If not click on 'N' and you can re-enter names.
The game screen (one of 10) then opens and the arrow points
towards who is to start. I have colour coded the names. If the
arrow points left black starts, if it points right then yellow
starts.
Choose a square with a 1 on it first and then a square with
a 2 on it. If the two pictures displayed are the same then that
player wins 10 points and gets another go. If the pictures are
different then both will be replaced and you change players. Once
the screen is finished then you go to a results screen and the one
scoring the most points on that game wins 100 points. If it is a
draw then each player gets 50 points.
RESULTS SCREEN.
===============
Once the above scores have been displayed then you have
three choices of what to do next :-
1. NEW GAME This starts back at the name screen and
you re-enter the players names and start
again with 0 points.
2. NEW PICTURES This loads up a new lot of small pictures
for you to compare. If you like the ones
you used in the last game then don't use
this choice.
3. CARRY ON This allows you to continue the game with
a new game board and, IF YOU CLICKED ON
NEW PICTURES FIRST, a new set of small
pictures.
WINNER.
=======
Unless you choose to start again by clicking on NEW GAME
then the winner is the first to have scored 1000 points or more
at the end of a round. Should both players have scored over 1000
points then the winner is the one with the highest score. If both
players have the same score then the game is a draw.
BITS AND BOBS.
==============
The game was written using AMOS Basic and has been compiled.
All screens and pictures were created using DPaint III and SpriteX.
Music is from the AMOS PD Library. I have used the same music as in
the original version of Couples as I feel it is relaxing.
