  2. Intended Upgrades

  5.    Here is a list of some of the things I intend to do to !Spotter in the
  6. future.
  7.  
  8.    Bug Fixes:
  9.  
  10.    None known in current release. It is known that this application does not run well in
  11.    conjunction with other applications that fiddle with the internal clock (such as !Technique).
  12.    I will try and do something about this, but I cannot see an easy way around it at the
  13.    moment.

  15.    New Features:
  16.  
  17.    1. Enable manual editing of satellite elements from the !FrontEnd applications, so that
  18.       the edited elements can be saved in case NORAD format elements are not available.
  19.  
  20.    3. Implement other solar system bodies, so that this application can be used
  21.       for finding (for example) planets and asteroids. Low priority, this one.
  22.  
  23.    4. Implement 'World View' display option, showing the satellite position
  24.       projected onto a map of the Earth.
  25.  
  26.    5. Implementation of cut-off elevation option in WIMPY generation. I am not
  27.       sure if this would be useful, so I may decide not to do this.
  28.  
  29.    6. Find some way of reducing the flicker when the display update frequency
  30.       is high. Need to think about this one.
  31.  
  32.    7. Enable the memory claimed for plot generation to be returned to the Wimp.
  33.       Currently, when a plot is generated, about 100k of memory is claimed by the
  34.       App, but it does not release it when it is no longer needed. So far my
  35.       attempts with DeskLib's 'Mem' functions have not been too successful.

  37.    As you can see, there are still plenty of things I want to do to this
  38. program, but if you have any other suggestions, or would like to attach some
  39. priorities to the list above, then I would be very pleased to hear from you.
