  6. Roger's new single 'Happiness?' was released on 14th
  7. November (UK) as follows:

  24. All live tracks were recorded at Roger's first UK show on
  25. Septemeber 15th at the Shepherds Bush Empire, London before
  26. he set of for his tour of Japan.

  28. Roger and Debbie are more than “Happy” at the arrival of
  29. their baby daughter - Tiger Lily, born on October 10th 1994.

  39. The CD versions of most single releases are now becoming the
  40. most collectable because of the extra tracks that can be
  41. included. Like Roger's previous release on CD recently, it
  42. was issued originally at a special price of £1.99, much
  43. lower that the standard £3.50.
  44.  
  45. There are 2 versions of the title track, a single version
  46. and the album version. Also included is 'You Had To Be
  47. There', though it doesn't say if this is a special version,
  48. so I assume it's the album version. The most collectable
  49. track to be included here is a recording of the Cross song
  50. 'Final Destination' re-recorded here by Roger and Yoshoki.
  51. This track is not on the UK release of 'Happiness?', but is
  52. on the Japanese release as a bonus track. I hope not too
  53. many of you had already bought the import just for this
  54. track now it is available this way.

  56. So, what is the new version of 'Final Destination' like I
  57. hear you ask. Well it begins in an unfamiliar way, not
  58. sounding at all like the original, but then slowly the
  59. melody is recognisible, and most lyrics too, though it is
  60. quite a different version and not as emotional or powerful
  61. as the original in my opinion. One interesting fact
  62. concerning the guest musicians on the new version, and
  63. 'Foreign Sand' is Phil Chen the bass guitarist who was last
  64. seen, (on a Queen-related recording) on Brian's 'Starfleet
  65. Project' back in the early eighties. Other musicians
  66. involved are Jim Cregan (guitar) and Dick Marx (strings).
  67. Josh Macrae is credited as co-producer and engineer for
  68. 'You Had To Be There'.

  75. Something which may slip through the net if I don't mention
  76. it, is Jeremy Reed's and Mick Rock's book called 'PopStars'.
  77. Through poetry and photgraphy many pop icons of recent years
  78. are included. Freddie is one of them, along with Bowie,

  102. The Top Of The Pops version of 'Killer Queen' was shown
  103. again on Sound Of The 70's recently, so I hope you all have
  104. your video recorders waiting as this video is not
  105. commercially avaiable yet.

  110. MAY-TAINENCE
  111. ------------
  112. May-Tainence is an American fanzine dedicated to Brian.
  113. It's first issue was Summer of 1994 you and can become a
  114. member by contacting the address below.
  115.  
  116. It's a ten page magazine roughly A4 and printed black and
  117. white on glossy paper. It has lots of b/w photos by fans and
  118. covers Brian's US tour. The front page reproduces a letter
  119. (from June 94) from Brian to all the members, so he seems to
  120. approve of it. (Though Jacky Gunn/Smith at the fan club in
  121. London has refused to advertise it in the official mag upon
  122. the request of Jim Beach, as is for US fans only for some
  123. reason).
  124. May-Tainence is quite light-weight in contents, but it is
  125. entertaining and produced by genuine fans. It even has a
  126. comic strip. Very American.

  145. A new painting by Trevor Horswell was shown in an unfinished
  146. state at the convention earlier this year and it is now
  147. complete and looks very good. You may have seen other work
  148. by Trevor in High Street Fine Art shops as his work is of
  149. exceptional quality. There is now a limited edition of 199
  150. of the Brian one as a combination of 2 poses, a large black
  151. and white one live, and a smaller illustration in coloyr.
  152. The signed limited edition copies are priced at £58.75.
  153. each.

  179. singer) sing one of Freddies's songs?

  207. When you write explain why you are writing. Freddie was a
  208. genuine fan of hers so tell her so. If you bought her albums
  209. because of Freddie's comments about her tell her so. He
  210. mentioned her in numerous interviews and cited her album
  211. 'Amazing Grace' as one of his inspirations. If you have any
  212. sheet music of Queen's or Freddie's send it to her - she
  213. will be more likely to respond if the score is there in
  214. front of her. Tell her how varied Queen's catalogue is and
  215. how she could find many songs, either ballads or rockers to
  216. suit her. Suggest certain songs and include why she should
  217. choose these above others. Do it for Freddie.

  219. Freddie chose to include her songs 'You've Got A Friend' and
  220. 'Take My Hand Precious Lord' to be palyed at his funeral
  221. service. This was the only part of the srevice in English.
  222. Again, do it for Freddie.

  224. There are enough Queen fans to make this happen, if only
  225. they do something to impress her, so put pen to paper and
  226. give the campaign your support - do it for Freddie!

  252. Spike Edney bash, as the one at the summer festival was such
