- \z4\c7TOPIC:\q1 EDITOR
-
- \z4\c7DESCRIPTION:\q1 EXCELSIOR! supports several different types of editor
- environments. The default, is the ASCII editor. This is a
- standard line editor, and movement is limited to the line you
- are currently entering. All commands in this mode are
- accessible by using the dot key (.) at column one of any line.
- You will prompted with the command line (>>), next you may enter
- ? or H for help, or directly use the commands available.
- Many commands such as List, Read, Delete, etc, can accept
- ranges. For example, if you wanted to List only lines 1-10, you
- would enter 1-10 after the >>List has appeared. Some options
- that accept ranges use the last line entered as a range, if none
- was entered, for example if you wanted to Delete the last line
- you entered, you would simply type .D return.
-
- The second environment is the ANSI visual editor. This acts
- similar to a standard word processor. This mode can only be
- used by users that use a FULL-ANSI supported terminal program.
- The command line on top will display all the keys that are
- available. These keys are accessible by typing the control-key,
- then the HIGHLIGHTED key.
