This drawer contains JemTex2.0 which dates back to 1991 and was
programmed by Francois Jalbert. I picked it up on a local BBS and thought
it might be a good idea if the Amiga community could do some Japanese type-
setting. The original source codes -both C and Pascal - are included.
Keeping in line with the spirit of the TeX-community the code is "free".
What do the programmes do?
* "fontable" produces a Japanese file (fontable.jem) which contains
all the available Japanese fonts in a tabular style. It has to be
run through
* "Jem2tex" which produces a TeX-file "fontable.tex"
* "jis2mf" finally produces .mf-sourcecode for Metafont and affiliated
tools to generate printer-fonts for TeX. jis2mf reads the data from
the jis24 bitmap-file.
Jem2tex requires the ixemul.library (at least version 39.44). I have included
version 39.45.
All three programmes run on my Amiga 500. I have not changed the original
doc jguide.tex (except for the copyright notice). But all Amiga-users running
TeX and Metafont should have no problem running JemTex on their machines.
You find a detailed documentation in the file jguide.tex which can be run
through TeX without installing JemTeX.
Enjoy,
Wilfried Solbach
