  1. Spinning wool.

  3.      This old photograph taken at the beginning of the twentieth century illustrates a scene that was repeated many times during the preparation of the marriage trousseau. The young girl cards the wool that her mother is spinning directly on her spinning-wheel, then it is wound on the reel.

  5.    Sometimes the entire family went to work to provide the trousseau of the "bride of springtime".
