  1. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

  5. I%2/3, cups, shortening
  6. I%1, cup, sugar
  7. I%1/2, cup, brown sugar
  8. I%2, med, eggs
  9. I%2 1/4, cups, flour, sifted
  10. I%1, tsp, baking soda
  11. I%1, tsp, salt
  12. I%2, tsp, vanilla
  13. I%1, cup, english walnuts, chopped
  14. I%2, cups, chocolate chips, ( a small package )

  17. R%  Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs.  Sift flour and other dry
  18. R%ingredients and add to above.  Then add nuts and chocolate chips.

  20. R%  Drop by teaspoonsful on cookie sheets.

  22. R%  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.

  24. R%  Makes about 4 dozen, 3" cookies.
