Instant Recall is a free-form, memory-resident database program for the
IBM PC. It is distributed as shareware. A fully functional version
(but limited to 80k bytes of data access) is available on CompuServe
(GO IBMSW, browse in data library 0 for keyword "instant").
Because Instant Recall is always available you can use it to store all
the bits and pieces of information you need throughout the day. It
doesn't get in the way of your work-flow or your other programs.
Everybody's set of data is different, so the listing of example uses
that follows is only a suggestion. You might think of Instant Recall as
an electronic "file cabinet". Note that because Instant Recall
indexes every word in every record, you don't need to worry about the
organization of the records. You can store many different kinds of data
into the database without them getting mixed up. This is one of the key
features of Instant Recall; it simultaneously handles many different
kinds of data.
Certainly you'll come up with many more uses for Instant Recall. We'd
appreciate if you'd send a short note to us telling us about them. Also
feel free to send any other comments. Thanks.

You can use Instant Recall to keep information about programs you're
developing. Much of this information is usually lying around your desk
and in notebooks; it's much easier to get when in Instant Recall. You
can also save much-used information from some of your reference books
into Instant Recall; your desk will be less burdened with books, and you
won't have to root around in them all the time.
