(instructions, part 2)
This course is not a "teach you everything that is possible to teach"
type system. Rather, it is designed with two purposes in mind:
1) To teach you what you NEED to know about the day-to-day operation
of IBM-compatible business computers.
2) To present that information in an EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND format.
Be realistic in your expectations. The amount you learn here depends
largely on you and the time you allow for learning. If you take the
necessary time (don't rush through), pay attention, ask the instructor
questions (when possible), take notes, and review those notes, you will get
a lot out of the course. But don't expect to be an overnight computer
programmer; that would take much more study... and is probably something
you would not want to do anyway.
By far more people USE computers than PROGRAM them. Programming is a
special field of endeavor that takes full-time attention. Computer USERS
however, are people who take advantage of the computer system as a TOOL.
This course does not have much to do with programming. It is designed for
YOU, the computer USER.
