  1. MAXIMUM EFFORT RAID

  3. The Nazi war machine runs on ball 
  4. ball bearings. Without these simple 
  5. devices their manufacturing plants and
  6. war machinery would grind to a halt. As
  7. such they are a priority target for the
  8. American bombers.
  9.  
  10.             Mission Orders
  11.  
  12. You are leading a group of B17s on a 
  13. raid to the Berlin ball bearing plant.
  14. Another small group will be joining you
  15. on this flight, so you will have to 
  16. try to adjust the course and speed of
  17. your group to keep the bombers together
  18. and to supply each other with mutual
  19. defensive fire.
  20.  
  21. Fly to the specified waypoints so you 
  22. line up on the target properly during
  23. the bombing run.
  24.  
  25. Hint: This is an extremely long mission
  26. and you will have to conserve your ammo
  27. on this one or you'll be defenseless on
  28. the return trip. Only take sure shots
  29. and only use very short bursts.

  32. state of boredom relieved by moments of
  33. sheer terror.
