This scenery centers around the Marlboro Airport in Marlboro, MA, the
"Oldest Privately Owned Commercial Airport in Massachusetts" according
to the sign out in front. Marlboro is a very small airport, only
1682x50 feet. I still haven't made a landing there that I've been
satisfied with; maybe you can do better!
The airport is in a residential area and is surrounded by houses and
apartments, many of which are included. Just south and west is a series
of greenhouses. To the west of the airport is Jerico Hill, a small ski
area. The major road to the north is Route 20 which if you follow it a
few miles to the east you'll find the Wayside Inn, a colonial era inn.
The airport doesn't really have a taxiway. Planes typically taxi down
the grass to the east of the runway (and in front of most of the parked
planes), turn at the gray building with the windsock, and take off to
the north. Try not to hit the gray house just off the end of the
runway; yes it really is that close!
