Hyannis, MA, on the "Middle Cape", is of course most famous these days
as the location of the Kennedy homes (which are actually at
Hyannisport). You will see them on this file, near the breakwater
projecting out into Nantucket Sound. The Joseph Kennedy home is the one
nearest the Sound (note the touch football field), and John and Bobby's
homes are across the road (Bobby's has a white fieldstone chimney). All
of these are overlooked by Sunset Hill. There are other Kennedy
remembrances in Veteran's Park, on Lewis Bay (with the fountain), where
there is a plaque to the late President.
You will also note Melody Tent on Main Street (which houses well-known
theatrical presentations). The normal schools, libraries, post offices,
downtown businesses are represented, and two ponds: Aunt Betty's and
Fawcett. St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, the Kennedy's home
parish, is on South Street; nearby is the locally-famous Octagonal
House.
The highway running through Hyannis is Route 28; U. S. 6 is the divided
highway running the whole length of the Cape; Route 132 connects the
two. On the inner side of the Cape north of Barnstable is Sandy Neck,
with its lighthouse (currently inoperative).
The airport has two runways: 15-33 (3999 feet) and 6-24 (5430 feet);
elevation 52. 6 and 33 are provided with VASI. There is an ILS approach
to runway 24, frequency 110.5; the LOM, Bogey at 342, is on SD-12. The
ATIS is at 123.8. FS coordinates are 17749N; 22210E. Both runways and
the taxiways are provided with dusk/night lighting.
Fixes for HYA are BOS, 112.7, @159 51.5 DME; HYA, 114.7, @243 3.8 DME
(very near the LOM); ACK, 116.2, @349 25.8 DME; and PVD, 115.6, @108
51.6 DME.
MAAHYAJR.MOD has the com radio set for the ATIS, NAV1 to the ILS
localizer, and NAV2 to the HYA VOR.

The day/dusk/night effects were created with Laemming Wheeler's SEE03
(using EZC.DAT), and there are several objects from his libraries 1 and
2. SEE03 also set the range of all buildings.
MAAHYAJR.SC1 requires static scenery memory of 20000. The boundaries of
the file are currently set so that it fits properly with my

Anderson's MAAMVYNA.SC1 (Martha's Vineyard), MAABEDNA.SC1 (New
Bedford), and MAAPVCNA.SC1 (Provincetown).
