At last it's finished! This tune has been dragging on for a couple of
weeks now, and believe me -I've had enough.
"Patience & Denial", completed 11th August 1993 was actually written
given all seriousness. There are no jokes hidden within this tune, as
it is based upon a serious theme (of which I won't go into now!). The
tune itself began life as two separate tune which were to be part of
a kind of present-life story (bluurrrrr!) but the two tunes didn't go
any further One ended one way, and another began in the same way -so
I realised the obvious thing to do was to stick 'em together, and I'm
satisfied with the result... Well, when the guitar (Electric1) comes
in at block 14, I still find that its not fully in tune -and I'm sick
of trying with this stupid sample. I have been wanting to get back
into some serious programming (hardware!) but this has been a great
big hold up... I'd hate to see the tune with a shotgun!!
Not to worry though, I've reached the stage where I'm going to give
my music partition a good spring cleaning -the samples I have been
using will get the elbow. (Unless I just leave them on some floppies)
After all, I believe that I've exhausted them and I'd rather have
some more of other peoples tunes on my HD.
To be honest, I haven't got that much to say (unusual for me!) apart
from some hellos which I believe are now in order...
Hello Chris,Kev,Maria,Michael(YES-the famous Michael!!),Nick,Vic,Dan,
and other people that have been so kind to write to me. Keep it up!!
If there are any NewZealander's reading this I'd appreciate it if you
could drop me a note, since it may be my home in two years time. Some
contacts would be nice (especially Amiga freaks/normals!). But on the
whole -it doesn't matter whether you are an IBM/Amiga freak.
Keep an eye out for new demos (not the good ones!) -you may discover
mine before long...
If you'd like to help me in my quest for new samples/demo ideas or
just have a friendly chat write to either of the addresses below.
Most of all... Thank YOU for downloading this tune -you've made a
non-musically orientated CS student very happy!
Cheers,
Paul.
