  1. This is Cryptographer, a word game program to solve cryptograms.
  2. It is shareware and can be registered by ordering the program
  3. from inside by going to Help and then "Prepare registration".
  4.

  16. This program requires that Microsoft Windows Version 3.1 
  17. or later is installed, a VGA (or higher resolution) monitor
  18. and a mouse attached.
  19.  
  20. To install the program. 
  21.  
  22. From Diskettes:
  23. Insert the program diskette in Drive A: or B:
  24. For Windows 3.x goto Program Manager, select "File" then "Run"
  25. For Windows 95 click on "Start" then "Run" 
  26. and type:
  27.  
  28. a:setup or b:setup
  29.  
  30. From a zip file:
  31. You need an Unzip utility, to UNZIP into a temporary directory
  32. for example C:\TEMP
  33. For Windows 3.x goto Program Manager, select "File" then "Run"
  34. For Windows 95 click on "Start" then "Run" 
  35. and type: C:\TEMP\setup
  36.  
  37. All Programs and files will be installed, you will be prompted 
  38. for the Disk drive and Directory that you want these files to 
  39. be located, a default path is offered.

  41. After the installation is completed, double-click on the icon with
  42. the left mouse-key to start the program.
  43.  
  44. In case you have any of the following problems, here are some possible
  45. solution you might try.
  46.  
  47. 1.VER.DLL will not load. 
  48. Solution: Use the Notepad editor and open file Setup.lst.  Remove 
  49. the line with Ver.dl_ and try setup again.
  50.  
  51. 2.The file commdlg.dl_ cannot load because it is in use.
  52. Solution: Go to DOS and rename the file drive:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\commdlg.dll
  53. to something else.  Then go back to Windows and try setup again.
  54.  
  55. 3.If any of the *.VBX files could not be installed, check to see if an 
  56. older version of that file is present in either the drive:\WINDOWS or 
  57. drive:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.  If so, rename that file and try setup again."
