README.1ST
The label for this disk is FRISCO (FRee ItemS COllection).
FRISCO covers two basic topics:
1. A listing of numerous free (and almost free) booklets that can
be obtained from the United States Government. Three programs:
a. FREE.EXE which lists the various booklets available.
b. FREE.TXT which gives a little background and discusses some
of the booklet subjects.
c. ORDER.TXT is an order form to be used if you want to obtain
material.
You will be pleasantly surprised at the large number of interesting
and informative booklets available.
2. The second topic in FRISCO:
a. VITAL1.EXE and VITAL2.EXE tell you who to contact in the 50
states and the District of Columbia for Vital Statistics
information including birth certificates, death certificates,
marriage licenses and divorce decrees.
b. VITAL.TXT gives a little background and offers advice on what
information to furnish when requesting records.
Obviously, the VITAL programs don't sound very interesting but they
are very useful. Almost everyone can save much time and money by
having them available.
3. We have also included a program called EXEC.TXT which gives the
names, addresses and phone numbers of the Clinton Cabinet.
This program will come in handy if you want to contact any of the
listed parties.

How to run the .EXE programs:
1. Each program has pull down menus so if you have a mouse just
poke around and you won't have any trouble.
2. If you don't have a mouse:
a. Press F10 to highlight a menu.
b. You can also highlight a menu by pressing Alt + the first
letter of the menu. For instance, Press Alt + C if you
want to bring up the Menu item called Catalog on the
FREE.EXE program.
c. To exit the program press Alt + X or you can press enter
on the last (exit) item of the first menu.
d. You have to close the window after each use and to do so
press Alt + F3. (Mouse users need not close windows.)

REGISTRATION
We will send a new program to each registered user that includes
the following;
1. A complete listing of the addresses of the members of the
United States Senate. You can have this information in one of
these two forms:
a. A regular data base:
Senator John A. Smith
123 Senate Building
Washington DC 10221
or
b. Set up for a WordPerfect mail merge:
Senator John A. Smith F^1
123 Senate Building F^2
Washington DC 10221 F^3
Dear Senator Smith F^4
==================================================================
You, of course, would need WordPerfect to use this merge
system.
We will send out the regular data base unless the
WordPerfect mail merge is requested by you.
2. Same as the above for all the members of the U. S. House of
Representatives.
3. Complete telephone listings for members of the Senate.
4. The same for members of the House.
5. Detailed descriptions of each of the available booklets listed
in FREE.EXE. (See the FREE.TXT program for a discussion on this
subject.)
