Easy C++ is designed for programmers who wish to learn or develop their skills in either, or both, the C or C++ programming languages. It has a very easy-to-use WIMP front-end to drive the compiler and linker, so there's no need to learn complicated command-line sequences. If you wish to use the command-line Easy C++ will allow you to do so.
Even though this package is aimed at beginners, the C compiler conforms to the international standard for the C programming language, while the C++ compiler conforms to the early specifications for a C++ programming language. As your skills develop, you will find that Easy C++ is quite capable of handling substantial programs, and features an integrated Make facility and ARM assembler for the more adventurous.
Previously published by Beebug the APDL-ProAction version of EasyC has been updated to work with RISC OS 4 and is supplied on CD with !EasyDebug and Manual and Tutorial on the CD in Ovation Pro and HTML format. This latest version has new libraries and also includes the Vigil interactive desktop debugger.
Although this a powerful package it's also ideal for the beginner as it's very easy to use and the Tutorial will soon have even a novice producing working programs.
Printed Manuals and Tutorial are available. We supply this separately as it is an expensive item to produce and post and this keeps the cost of the main program down for people who do not require it.

Vigil is a multi-tasking monitor and debugger for use with any program written in any language (C, assembler, Basic, etc). It lets you view and alter a program's workspace and variables while it is actually running on the desktop.
Naturally it's very easy to use and has lots of powerful features and we could fill pages listing them all. However, we're not going to waste the space because at the incredible APDL-ProAction price it's such a bargain that, whether you're an experienced programmer or just a 'dabbler', you just can't afford to be without it. Don't waste hours looking at your source code trying to find out what's going on - now you can actually see what's happening.
