Thanks to the Internet "Cyberspace", once the stuff of dreams, is now an easily accessible reality. With the arrival of VRML it will soon be enjoyed by millions of people. As the first step toward realizing Virtual Society, the following pages introduce VRML 2.0, the "Moving Worlds" specification to which Sony contributed along with the Internet community, the Community Place VRML 2.0 compliant browser and the Community Place Conductor VRML editing tool.
This software enables us to walk around a 3D world alive with sounds and images. Not only are you able to communicate with many other visitors within this space, but you are also able to create a mutually interactive community together.
