  Q. I think again you stopped being Store Manager of Colchester
       in August 1987?
       A. That would sound correct, yes.

  Q. Is that right?
       A. Yes.

  Q. When you became the Area Supervisor of Colchester, Clacton
       and Ipswich; is that right?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Is that the job that Frank Stanton had had before you?
       A. That is correct, yes.

  Q. I think in February 1990 you became Operations Manager; is
       that right?
       A. That sounds right, yes.

  Q. About right, is it? I am interested, Mr. Davis, in
Colchester in the mid-1980s when you were first an
Assistant Manager and then the Manager. The reason is, as
you probably know, the Defendants have said that they will
call as witnesses in this case some of the people who
worked there during your time as Manager. I am going to
tell you who they are. I want you to tell us if you can
remember them. First of all, Mr. Adrian Brett, do you
       remember him?
       A. Yes, I remember him, yes.

  Q. Then a Mr. Simon Gidney?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Then a lady now called, I think, Kathy or Kate Harrison but
who was then some time called Scannell?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Then I think a gentleman whom she eventually married call
       Kevin Harrison?
       A. Yes, I remember him.

  Q. Then a gentleman called Siamak Alemi?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just say that we are intending to call Ahmed
Shafibeck, but he has moved and we cannot get his new phone
number, but I am pretty certain he will still be coming.

MR. RAMPTON: Until I get confirmation, I have left him off my
       list, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You know him as well in any event?

THE WITNESS: Yes, I do, yes.

MR. RAMPTON: So that is six people at Colchester at or around
that time, though some of them stayed on after you had
gone, Mr. Davis, it appears. Do you see any of those
       people in court?
       A. Yes.
