the window shift and stuff like that and grill shifts, but,
I mean, usually she works just maintenance.

  Q. Does she get paid more for that?
       A. I do not know. I do not know what she gets paid.

  Q. OK. She is regarded as someone with a responsible position
       though?
       A. Not really. She is not higher up than anybody else and
there are other maintenance people in our store.

  Q. I think it was said that she was not told about the union,
she was not asked to join the union?
       A. Well, when I asked her if she had heard anything about
the unionisation attempt, and I asked her if she had signed
a card, if she wanted to sign a petition, if she felt she
was, you know, misinformed, she said: "What", you know,
       basically "what unionisation attempt?"

  Q. But as soon as she heard about it, she got very active in
this and helped you organise a petition and came with you
       to the NLRB?
       A. She did come with me to the, well, Ontario Labour
Board, but as for organising the petitions she did not do a
lot for that. She only came with me to the Board. After
that she kind of, she just basically stayed out of the
picture. She just kept an eye on what was going on.

  Q. I think she was the contact person for all the
       people -----
       A. Yes, because she was over 18 we decided to use her as
the contact person, so that if, you know, they want to send
us anything or whatnot, they could send it to her, but they
never sent anything to her, as far as I know. I do not
       know.

  Q. So you asked her if she would do that rather than she
       volunteered for it?
       A. I am not sure. Chris Broom was the one who talked to
       her.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you spell her name, tell me her name
       again?
       A. Bonnie, B-O-N-N-I-E, and I believe it is McLellan, so
it is M-C-L-E-L-L-E-N, I believe. I could be wrong, it
might be O-N. She wrote a letter just to say that she
never did sign a card, but she just wanted to say what she
thought of it. I am not sure where that is, but you might
find the spelling in there somewhere; it is -----

MS. STEEL: I think she said -----
       A. It is A-N, sorry.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MS. STEEL: She said: "I feel that the age of many of the card
holders is too young to be deciding such a big issue of
their lives". So, really, it was her and Chris Broom that
       sorted things out between them?
       A. Well, they talked to each other and she wanted to know
