  Q. All the management?
       A. All the Managers; not the floor Managers; certainly
Mark himself and Ray, Ray Coton.

  Q. Ray Coton.
       A. And I remember other ones. The thing is, if there was
a visit or if they knew the store needed cleaning, the
Managers were sort of nervous because of it, because of the
higher people above them, and they basically, you know,
make it clear to you that, you know, they want you to stay
       and help.

  Q. Do you know the word "blitz"?
       A. Blitz?

  Q. Yes. Do you know what a blitz is: a big effort to get
       something done?
       A. Right.

  Q. These visits from higher people would mean that there was a
big effort to get the store clean before the visit; is that
       right?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And that would sometimes go on all night?
       A. Sometimes go on all night, and all day, if you like.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. My Lord, if it helps -- and this is not a
question for the witness -- the date of Vicky Golding's
accident, which may help to date the witness's second
period at McDonald's, was 28th August 1986, according to
       the Accident Book.

THE WITNESS: Yes, it could have been, as I said.

MR. RAMPTON: Were you there at that time?
       A. As I said, I am not clear about the dates, just the
events that I remember. I mean, McDonald's itself, they
know when the periods that I was working there.

  Q. Sorry?
       A. I am just saying, the exact dates, if you wanted the
exact dates, McDonald's should be able to provide that
themselves. I am not clear, but I know it was within the
space of one year or so.

  Q. Just so that we can at least get one date right, were you
there at the time of the accident to Vicky Golding?
       A. No, I was not.

  Q. You were not there?
       A. No, it is -- she had burns on her arms.

  Q. Were you working at McDonald's at that time or not?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: I just wanted to say something with regards to the
dates that Mr. Shafibeik was working there, because it
appeared from what Mr. Rampton was saying that he thinks
