Day 268 - 24 Jun 96 - Page 08
A. "Any new stuff".

Q. "New stuff and also to tell them of the American meet out he
was organizing with his group for next March. It sounded
like a very large organised event." You've got his whole
address there, so you would have taken his letter out to
get those details?
A. Not necessarily, no. I do not recall if I did.

Q. But you may have done?
A. I do not recall that I did.

Q. Right, but that does not mean that that you did take it?
A. It may have meant that I wrote that address on a piece
of paper.

Q. Or that you took it?
A. Possibly, but I do not recall that I did.

Q. You said before that you did not recall answering letters
on more than one occasion, so, as we have seen, your memory
is not particularly great of these events?
A. After six years, no, but I am now reading my notes.
These are the notes that I made and I am relying on those.

Q. But it does not say there whether or not that was a note
you made or whether took the letters, so it could have been
either, equally possible?
A. Equally possible.

Q. "There was also a letter from New Zealand from an antiMcD
group showing letters to and from antiMcD security manager
Gary Lloyd as to Greenpeace and other people about London
Greenpeace." I think that letter is actually in the bundle
of letters that were disclosed. Do you remember whether or
not you took that letter?
A. I do not recall, no.

Q. Then you go on: "There were others but these were more
general antiMcDonald's enquiries. Meeting finished at 9.45
pm. The group went to the pub." And can you just say what
that says there?
A. It is probably "I went off to check their addresses".
It is scribbled there but it looks like "off".

Q. So where were you going to be checking their addresses?
A. I cannot recall.

Q. You are not talking about following lots of different
people home all at once, are you?
A. Sorry?

Q. You are not talking there about --
A. Me?

Q. That does not say "went to office to check their
addresses"?
A. No, it says "went off".

Q. You could not follow more than one person home at a time,
