Day 268 - 24 Jun 96 - Page 13

  Q. So that would have been the last meeting that you attended,
       would it?
       A. From memory, yes. It would be, yes.

  Q. Apart, of course, from you were helping out with the
       service of the writs?
       A. That is correct, yes.

MR. MORRIS: You said, I think when you were asked by Mr.
Rampton how you would describe the London Greenpeace fact
sheet, at the time you said you would describe it as a
multisided fact sheet, yes? And that would appear in your
notes if indeed it was the fact sheet that you identify in
your notes, it will appear as multiside leaflet or
       something like that?
       A. It would appear as either fact sheet or multisided. I
cannot recall how I would have made reference to it.

  Q. Right. We have not got a great deal of extra questions
now. We will see. Do you know why you said the last
meeting you attended was in early August if indeed you were
carrying on attending meetings in September? Just lack of
       memory, is it?
       A. When did I say early August, sorry?

  Q. It may have been Mr. Rampton put it to you. I cannot
remember. I think 9th August was suggested as the last
       date.

MR. RAMPTON: The reason for that was --

  MR. MORRIS: You agree?
       A. I was relying on Mr. Rampton. If my notes say in
September, then that was last meeting I attended.

MR. MORRIS: We have very nearly finished. Could we possibly
       have a break?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, you can. What does Mr. Rampton want to
do? What do you want to do? Can you do some reading to
       fill the time?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, I have got a list of - I will give to Mr.
Riley. I was only proposing to read the first three
today. I could read most of them if I can find the papers.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I certainly do ask your Lordship's leave
not to be here. I have got an awful lot to do and I will
not stay for that. I cannot remember what Mr. Patel....
As far as I can recall --

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. What I will do is I will --

MR. RAMPTON: What I would like to be able to do, if I may, is
have a quick look at that before Mr. Morris reads it
because it may be that it contains materials --

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will break off until half-past-11, which
will give you time and Miss Steel to consider what further
