bundle. This was a meeting at 5 Caledonian Road and
Mr. Morris appears to be arriving about the same time as
       you?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The door was opened by Jane. Paul was present, Charlie and
       someone called Hazel.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry, I was just trying to come in at the very end
rather than butt in. There was just one question I was
wanting to ask you about that previous report you did. On
       the third page:

"It was read out by Helen about the international mailing.
It was decided not to undertake this due to costs."

Do you have any impression about the funds of the group at
all in general while you were there?
       A. Well, my general impression was that they did not have
very much money. In fact, the table was falling down
       and --

  Q. The table was falling down?
       A. The table fell to pieces. The premises were not -- you
know, they were very meager. Nobody there seemed to be
particularly well off. My impression was that there was
not a lot of money in the group.

  Q. These leaflets which you took, that are attached to your
report on that day, 25th July I think it was, there is no
McDonald's leaflets in them, in that pile. Do you have any
       comment about that?
       A. Only that if there had been McDonald's leaflets there I
would certainly have picked one up and I would have
mentioned it in my report and enclosed it.

MS. STEEL: Sorry, going back to 19th July, you said about this
that the agenda consisted of intros, incoming mail,
reports, borders, fairs and coming events. If McDonald's
had been an item on the agenda, would you have made a note
       of it?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: This was a meeting which I attended and I have
looked through it to see where I am mentioned. You have
said in your statement that you were looking for anything
about McDonald's and particularly looking out for certain
people. What would you have recorded, what would have been
your job, say, at this meeting with me present? Regarding
       me, this means.
       A. Well, to record anything that you -- well, you were one
of the people that I was given to believe was one of the
main members of the group and I was to look out for you,
and I would have just reported anything that you said and
specifically in relation to McDonald's or anything you were
involved in in relation to McDonald's.

  Q. Right. Did you have any idea about my -- you said you were
told that I was one of the main members of the group --
did you get any details about my involvement with the group
