Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 12
a lot of them have been read out time and time again, so it
may save time if I just read out the relevant bits and ask
a question. There was just, Mr. Pocklington said on 26th
October--

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, if you are not going to give us pages
you have to allow us time to--

MR. MORRIS: Yes, it is something that has been read out three
or four times. It is just a hook to hang a question on,
really.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. I would still like to--

MR. MORRIS: I think it is actually page 17. I have made a
little note.
A. 17 is the second page of the 26th.

Q. Yes, that is correct. It is just that Mr. Pocklington says
that I told him on 26th October 1989 that I had been
involved with London Greenpeace off and on for about 10
years. Was that an impression you got before you joined
the group, that I had been involved off and on for some,
maybe 8, years before you joined?
A. I have certainly had the impression that your
involvement has been on an off and on basis--

Q. The next one I was going to look at is the 25th January and
I have not got a page number. It is the notes of
Mr. Pocklington.
A. It is page 68.

Q. This is a meeting which you attended about the future of
the group which, incidentally, I now recall attending, that
the 'Dave' there mentioned is me, and you said there was no
public at that meeting, I believe you said?
A. It was not advertised as a public meeting, and looking
at the names of the people who were there they were all
people who off and on had involvement with the group.
Obviously, Paul, myself, John, Jonathan had a regular
attendance. Andrew Clarke was fairly regular, although he
tailed off in 1990. Moe, yourself, and Marion were all
people who had been involved in the past.

Q. And there is a discussion on the second page, or a report
about a discussion, about McDonald's activities, and there
seem to be some kind of theme that came out of it that the
campaign would not be totally ignored, but there were other
projects which were more important. But, in terms of the
arguments or discussion at that meeting, do you recall me
arguing that the McDonald's campaign should be dropped by
the group?
A. I do recall you arguing that on a couple of occasions,
although I could not specifically say this particular
meeting, but--

Q. Right. Do you remember this being one of the -- well, no,
I will move on from that, I think.

You said that -- I don't know if this comes up in a
