Our fall Yellowstone ride is a combination of riding, wildlife and spectacular scenery.
Be sure to bring your rod and reel if you enjoy fishing. Rivers and lakes are plentiful
and the fishing is great! This is the time of year when we have the best chance of seeing elk and hearing the bull elk bugle. We may also spot moose and deer, and, if weÆre lucky,
weÆll catch a glimpse of a bear or wolf. This is also the transitional time of year for
the weather. As such, we have to be prepared for both sunny, warm days and snowy conditions
with cold nights. The clothing and gear list reflects the rapidly changing weather at this
time of year. Two-person tents are provided.
Our head guide, H.A. Moore, will lead our pack trip in the northwest corner of the Park. H.A. has been a licensed guide and outfitter in YellowstoneÆs backcountry since 1979. He provides first-rate horses and stock, top-notch wranglers and we are delighted to be working with him again this year.
WhatÆs included: Meals begin with breakfast on Day 2 and end with lunch on Day 7. Transportation to and from Yellowstone National Park, horses and tack, guides, tents and group camping gear is also included.
WhatÆs not included: Meals and overnight motel accommodation on Day 1. We will be happy to make reservations for you at a local hotel in the heart of downtown Bozeman with convenient walking access to restaurants, grocery stores and old downtown shops.
Making your air reservations: Please arrive prior to 3 pm on Day 1 so you may attend the trip orientation. City Taxi is available at the Bozeman airport for transfer to your motel. If you choose to depart Bozeman on Day 7, please do not schedule flights earlier than 7 pm. While we strive to be back in Bozeman by 5 pm on the last day, there are many factors that can delay our ride out of the Park and subsequent transfer back to Bozeman.
