Tibetan Highlands Horse Trek
July 8-25 1998, 6-9 participants $3800.00 / 10-14 participants
$3600.00
A dozen years ago we started our horseback trekking business with this
trip, exploring a region of Tibet that was unknown to most westerners.
This is a ride back in time, on top of the world, on the high plateau of
eastern Tibet. Traveling with nomads whose life and culture are largely
unchanged in the last 1000 years, our ride takes us along the great
divide between the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, littered with yaks and
wildflowers. In the company of our Khampa "wranglers", we'll visit
nomad families, small hamlets and Buddhist temples.

Yellowstone National Park Horse Trek
August 30-September 5, September 6-12, 2-8 participants $1450.00
This is our "classic" pack trip in the Rocky Mountains, through
Yellowstone National Park's remote and spectacular scenery. All the
fixin's of a truly western experience plus abundant wildlife, great
horses, tasty meals and plenty of campfire conversation.

Mongolia Horse Trek w/ Naadam Festival
June 27-July 15, July 8-25, 6-9 participants $4175.00 / 10-14 participants $3975.00
Our most popular ride! On horseback we cross through the vast Darhat
Valley in Hovsgol, visit the summer camp of the reindeer people near the
Siberian border and take part in the annual Naadam Festival, Mongolia's celebration of its ancient culture through wrestling, archery, horse
racing, song and food. Our new, rustic lodge in Hovsgol serves as a
basecamp for much of the riding.

Saddles and Paddles in Mongolia (Kayak Touring and Horseback Riding)
August 9-25, 6-9 participants $3650.00 / 10-12 participants $3450.00
A unique adventure offering a combination of horseback riding with
vehicle support and sea kayaking on Lake Hovsgol. The environs of Lake
Hovsgol, the centerpiece of Hovsgol National Park, are some of
Mongolia's most pristine wilderness. This mile-high lake is crystal
clear, deep and cold, surrounded by high, snowcapped mountains, deep
forests and virtually no inhabitants. The fishing is great!

Mongolia Horse Trek in Arhangay
June 7-20, August 9-22, August 19-September 2, 6-9 participants $2975.00 / 10-14 participants
$2800.00
Our "short" riding adventure in Mongolia provides five days of riding
plus sightseeing in Ulaan Baatar. Arhangay has been called the
"Switzerland of Mongolia" for its beautiful scenery; forests, rivers
and mountains. We'll cover about 20 miles per day with plenty of time to visit the many local herders in their gers along the way. Each night
we meet our support truck at a new campsite.

Patagonia Horse Trek
December 1-15, 2-4 participants $3875.00 / 5-8 participants
$3625.00
Linda's favorite ride, with all the "attending marvels" that northern
Patagonia offers. We begin on polo ponies for a two day ride on the
Atlantic coast as the guests of an old estancia family. Then we take a
drive to the Valdez Peninsula and spend a day watching whales, penguins,
guanacos and other wildlife. A short flight takes us across Patagonia
to the Andes and a pack trip in the Nahuel Huapi National Park with
local gauchos as our guides and wranglers. An intimate look at the way
of life, both old and new, in Patagonia.

Venezuela Beach Ride
November 22-28, December 20-26, December 27-January 2, January 24-30, February 21-27, 4-8 participants $1750.00
This is a week long "escape from winter" with casual riding along the
beach around the remote western end of Margarita Island. Vehicle
support provides "catered camping" with local produce, seafood and the
famous "Polar" beer. We mix cantering on the beach with walking through
small fishing villages and cactus forests. Swim fins and snorkeling
gear are as important as riding boots!
