Subject: LittleWing "Golden Logres" English verison available!
http://www.littlewing.co.jp/eng/"Golden Logres" is available as a "key code" locked demo. The download file is at least 20 megs (that's Windows version; Mac is also available), and the PDF manual (which seems to have a few bugs in it, but otherwise is nice, about 60 pages) about 4 or 5 megs more. The game costs 4000 yen, which is about 30 U.S. dollars. To order, you're supposed to fax the order form with credit card info to their number in Japan. They then will send the "unlock" code by email. I gave the demo a very quick spin at work, and I'm downloading it at home right now. It has 3 tables. It won't measure up to Pro Pinball as a sim, but fans (like me) of the older LittleWing games will probably like it a lot. There are 3 tables (similar King Arthur-ish theme, like Crystal Caliburn and Tristan), perhaps linked in some way. The view is overhead, but at a slight 3D angle. The ball physics include much more noticable gravity than in the older LittleWing games, and the flippers seemed more sophisticated. That's about all I could tell in a quick look. The demo mode limits your time to a short look per "game", but it let's you try all the tables. I only played for a few minutes anyway. I've faxed a file containing my order (I didn't print out the forms, presumably that's not necessary because I don't have a real fax machine) already, and am eager to get started, so hope everything works out and I get an email back soon. It'll be great to play for the "high scores" with a game that is just being released (English version, that is), but presumably not "buggy" (because of the Japanese version). I've enjoyed the other major PC pinball games, but mostly have played them after they were popular. There's also some hint that "Angel Egg" (the earlier unreleased game) will also be made available. Let's hope so.
