June 1998 Editorial Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1998-06-01 Alien beeings and earthlings! The TOWER has risen again, new rooms, new carpets and more guests, still the same as always if not better. As you probably have noticed if you are a regular this page looks a little different now, but there hasn't been made any bigger changes to the contest of the site, except for:
Please mail me if you find any broken links (it is very likely you will). Also please send me some feedback on the smaller changes I have now made to the page, the cgi scripts, color, layout, anything constructive! (well everybody seemes to writes that when they have done something to their page, comment if you want). Well, enough of this whats new subject. I just wrote an review of Keyflip, the pinball keyboard, and must say it is quite good. The support for it right now is,t o be ohnest, quite lousy. Few if any of the newer pinballs featuring 3-way tilt supports the keyboard to its full extent. The problem is that in orer to tilt in three directions using the keyboards special functions the pinball must support the keyboard. You can use the keyboard with 98% of all the pinballs out, but it is only older pinballs in which you flip as normal and only tilt upwards you can really use the keyboard since no support is required in them. If just patches for timeshock!/the web came out I would be happy since the keyboard otherwise is good, you have to be a pinball fantatic to understand how good, but it is good. Read the review for more information. I also belive it is no longer a secret (hint, product was shown on E3), so I guess I can write that a pinball is on the way which will simulate some real pinballs (and judging from what I've played of it I belive it can turn out quite good). I'm not talking about Pin-Ball Games Ltd. here. Expect more on this issue in the future. If anyone missed it, LittleWing is alive and are planning to release most of their pinballs (the english versions at least, and in Europe/US). Their sixth an latest pinball Golden Logres which has alreay been released in Japan will ofcourse also be released in Europe/US along with the other pinballs they are planning to release. Oh, might interest some of you, there is a emo of Eight Ball Deluxe, LittleWing will upload it to their page sometime in the future. Finally I also reviewed Addiction Pinball, an quite excellent pinball if you ask me though I don't belive it beats the web or timeshock! It comes near though and is fun to play, It ranks among the top and is a pinball most fans probably will find interesting. Happy Alienation! :) |
