Dear Penn Stater, Once a Penn Stater always a Penn Stater. That love and loyalty for our alma mater not only creates the fierce Penn State pride evident in the “We Are … Penn State” roar across Beaver Stadium, but it also drives alumni’s need to reconnect to the University and to each other. Membership in the Penn State Alumni Association helps you do both. Through hundreds of programs annually—many involving faculty experts—you can reconnect with old Penn State friends and make new ones. You can read about fellow alumni and University news through our award-winning publications. And you can connect with other alumni to network and job search through our Alumni Career Services programs. Your membership also helps our alma mater. It helps fund programs for current students (such as Lion Ambassadors, the Blue & White Society, and the FastStart mentoring program for underrepresented students) as well as support student scholarships and other philanthropy to the University. The Alumni Association’s ambitious slate of programs, events, and opportunities for alumni and students is extensive, too extensive to delineate here. Suffice it to say that all we do is made possible through your membership. You have helped make the Penn State Alumni Association not only the most ambitious alumni association but also the largest of its kind, with 161,234 members. Each of those members is listed here in this one convenient volume, along with reminiscent photos and stories submitted by thousands of alumni. Through this member directory, you can reach out to your fellow Penn Staters to network, find your long-lost roommate, or get back in touch with a college friend. Now is the time to reconnect. Here is one tool we trust will help you do just that. For the glory, |
