This is basically a demonstration of how you can use the pattern fill in
  SDES.

First the name was written using the font "Big Lowcase Outline" (use
<Alt>+T to change the font). Then the border was shaded to give it that
raised look. You press <Alt>+I when the cursor is over some blank
position on the screen - this will give you a chance to set the colours
for the screen. Set the first colour to white on black, the second to
dark gray on black, and the last colour to black on black.

Now that the colours are set, you press <Alt>+I with the cursor over the
top left corner of each character in the name. You will also need to do
this over the bottom right corner of the center parts of the letters
  'E' and 'A'.

The next task is to fill each of the letters with a different pattern.
For the 'J', we set the colours to bright blue on blue (<Alt>+A to change
the colour), and then fill it with the "Chess" pattern (<Shift>+<Alt>+L
to choose the pattern, and <Alt>+L to perform the fill). The 'A' is done
by setting the colours to bright red on red, and filling with the
  "Crosses" pattern.

The 'M' is filled with "Stars and Stripes" pattern (the colour doesn't
really matter). The 'E' uses the colours white on light gray, and the
"Interleave" pattern. The 'S' is filled with the "Rainbow" pattern (once
  again the colour doesn't matter).

Finally, the background is filled with the "Stars" pattern - before doing
this, though, the text colour should be set to brown (this specifies the
  density of the stars).
